M80 liquid force kite loosing power at the top of the wind window

I've recently got a 12m m80 liquid force kite as a beginner to the sport, ive done enough wake boarding and wind surfing to really wanna master Kite surfing. I've had the kite out a couple of times in light winds 10mph..... it seems fine but coz liquid force gave me no technical data for set up of the kite ive been really learning through trial and error and through the internet. Ive worked out the set up but cant be sure..... The kite seems unstable at the top of the wind window and when trying to get on the board the kite goes too far overhead de powers and falls to the ground....???? uhh:( im thinking its the trimming or the set up...... but cant be sure coz the download for support is not available on the liquid force website.... please can anyone help????

No inflatable is going to be stable in 10mph. 13-14mph is about the bare minimum to even bother getting wet. If its really gusty you'll also have issues. That said, you can check out a couple things to make sure you're tuned right.

When your trim strap is all the way out and the bar unhooked (max power) your wing tips should be parallel to each other. I actually like mine to be rigged so that the trailing edges are just slightly being pulled together. This is oversheeted but it puts the bar in a more comfortable position for me when I'm riding. If you've got an adjustable stopper ball you want to set it so that when you pull in the trim strap and let the bar out (min. power) you can still steer the kite. The back lines will be hanging pretty loose - too loose and the kite won't turn.
