SOLD: Flysurfer 10m Pulse
This kite has no tears, rips, repairs or patches. It is in excellent shape. I purchased this kite from TriDude and this is the kite that got me to
lose my water kiteboarding virginity.
There are several things to point out about this kite.
The first is the condition of the bar, leader lines and trimmer strap. With the exception of some frayed foam where the chicken loop meets the bar,
this bar and chicken loop is in like-new condition. This is NOT the bar that I purchased with the kite; this bar came from another purchase of which
the owner remarked that the bar had about 10 hours of use. Frankly, I don't think that it has had even that many hours. The bar, leader lines and trim
strap simply appear to be brand new to me.
This kite has been modified with the mixer ball upgrade. This makes tuning the mixer easier.
This kite has new pulleys and new mixer lines installed. The pulleys have about three sessions on them. John at PowerZone Kitesports installed the
mixer ball upgrade, the replacement pulleys and mixer lines. John also tuned the kite. He also set the kite to have a little bit of backstall when
fully powered. According to John, this allows you to bring the kite back from the edge without stopping. I agree with John and found that it helped me
to park the kite when learning to ride.
This kite has the 5th line installed and it works well.
The flying lines are still serviceable. I don't know, however, at what point they should be replaced. They still have color, although they are faded
somewhat.
The bag has frozen zippers. (Are there ANY Flysurfer bags that don't experience frozen zippers?) One of the zipper handles broke off. Since the zipper
was stuck anyway, I never saw the need to attempt to repair it. The bag otherwise is without holes or tears and all of the straps are working and
functional.
I do not have a leash to go with this kite; I've put a leash on my harnesses so I won't forget them when packing for the beach.
Insofar as wind range: I'm 180 pounds. With a 140'ish board, I needed about 15 knots to get up and ride with authority. On my larger Spleene Door, I
could mow the lawn around 12'ish knots.
I'm selling this beauty since I now have a larger Flysurfer to replace it with and I highly suspect that I won't fly it anymore.
$400 plus shipping.
Money orders are fine and I will accept Paypal if you pay the fees.
I've done several sales here on the forum and I can provide additional references if desired.

Any chance you would be interested in doing a little trade? I have a Blade 3 10.5m that I'm looking to upgrade to a depower. If you have a
particular taste in these kites let me know. Like new condition.

Thanks for the offer, ViperKid.
I'm looking to sell this sweet kite.
The new owner will be most pleased with her.

Here are some additional photos of this kite that I found on my son's camera.
This was a very low wind day (barely 6-7 knots) and I took the Pulse out into the yard to test the kite after John's adjustments.
Occasionally, the wind would gust to around 10 knots or so and you can see me being dragged up the hill.

I was just cleaning my 7m and noticing again the added value in Flysurfrs kites. ( I'll never sell it Tridude! )
This kite is designed to give you thousands of hours of use! Very advanced in every way for it's age from the bridle to the fifth line !
This kite is worth twice as much but the market has driven it to THIS !
joedy - 21-10-2012 at 07:20 AM
Yep, you guys are correct; nothing comes close to a Flysurfer for longevity. They're definitely built to last.
