I've been wanting a landboard for a while and I've got a week to go until I'm financially set (broke college student in the house)! So... anyone
looking to get rid of one??
I'm a relatively tall girl, about 170 pounds but steadily headed down, so if stats need to be taken into account...
I'm not the best at noticing U2U, so please post or at least post and say you if you sent me one cause I hardly notice the little notification.
Thanks all!!

An MBS Comp 16 recently went on sale on SurfingDirt.... older model with very little ride time on it, so it still looks minty fresh. There's one
offer on it, but it was $50 below the asking price. It can be found here: http://www.surfingdirt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6745
Here is one at a good price.
Something feels a bit odd about it ? Think he means Comp 16? Not familiar with seller.
Could be a Comp 6, just don't see them as often.
"MBS Comp 6 Mountain Board - This new shorter version of the Comp 16 is a kiteboarder?s dream and a junior riders? holy grail. Its reduced spin weight
is sure to be a hit with adult freestylers as well."
Um, whats the difference between the Comps and Cores and Atoms and all the different numbers??ikemiester - 29-8-2012 at 10:25 AM
Comps are better designed than Cores, and generally heavier. If you're a grown person you won't want an atom. The Core series works well for
freestyle, the comp series for cruising. The new number (90, 95, 100) signify the length of the board in cm. I have no idea about the old #s.van - 29-8-2012 at 01:23 PM
I still have my board forsale if you're interested, $125 shipped. I can post pics if you're interested.Bladerunner - 29-8-2012 at 04:49 PM
Different brands also have different trucks.
My Core has Vector skate style trucks. Lighter ? Love them but I am light.
The Comp has Matrix trucks . The are more beefy and heavy.
Basically large and heavy makes a good board for learning + cruising. Shorter and lighter if you want to move to freestyle.kateagle - 30-8-2012 at 02:15 PM
Van - What kind is it? Can I get a few pics please?kateagle - 5-9-2012 at 03:03 PM
Bump. I've got the money now, just looking for an opportunity!!! :D
Couple of options to watch

Hi
As noted earlier, there is this older Comp 6 which is currently on Ebay.
The listing has $75 for shipping, but with 3+ days to go, it has no bids. Although older, this is a shorter board (better for freestyle than
freeride) with older Matrix trucks.
I purchased a buggy from Frathouse, and he was a pleasure to deal with (although it made it easier that I am local for that kind of purchase).
As noted in his ad, a replacement set of hubs will be $50 plus tax, shipping, etc. It might be worth reaching out to one of the dealers on the forum
to see if they have the odd single white Twistar hub they would sell you (DAKITES, shehatesmyhobbies, or bigkid all come to mind). This board is
short, light, and has Vector trucks, which are between the ATS and Matrix in MBS' line.
Best of luck on your quest

Nevermind everyone, hopefully I scored it big time on amazon. They had a 'used' comp 90, really a new one with damaged packaging and it said "may have
minor cosmetic issues, but works fine" and for $170, I figured it was worth the chance so here's to hoping! I know it'll get a few scratches on it so
at least when i do the first I won't cringe as badly if its already scuffed. Thanks all!Brikuch15 - 8-9-2012 at 04:10 PM
:wee: $170 for that board is a amazing deal... Now you have me scouring the internet looking for a similar deal. Haha ... No luck thus far tho.kateagle - 9-9-2012 at 10:17 AM
I'm saving the celebration until its in my hands, but I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out. I'm super excited though! Should have it by the
weekend so I can at least grab my dog's leash and get pulled around the yard some! :singing:
Great Deal!

Congrats!
Make sure you post some pics when you get the board.

In case you missed the thread, there's a meet up at Jekyll Island this weekend. Conditions look good. You could try your new toy and borrow gear.
It'll be at least 4 folks at JI. I'm working on a 5th and I heard we might get a 6th. Bring a harness if you have one and want to try some depower
kites.
Anyways, enjoy the new board.

Got the board this weekend. Its fabulous!! Came in a weird box plastic wrapped, but new other than the box not being in the factory box. Got the tires
on easy and went down the side road by my parents' house Saturday. I was feeling a little more confident today and took my dog over to the stadium
parking at school (rows of grass with rows of asphalt in between) and he pulled me. SUCH an adrenaline rush. I love it and can't believe I scored such
a sweet deal. :D The wind is kicking up here and tomorrow its supposed to be 15 ish which is really high for here, but its part of a storm front so
I'm hoping that by Thursday (my free day this week) the rain will have moved out but the wind will stick around so I can put both 'toys' together!
