line length

was wondering does it make any difference if you use really short lines say 2 meter lines so the kite is 6 or 10 feet infront of you? no real reason why i was just wondering.

Changing line length changes the size of your wind window.

Longer lines mean a large power stroke + can get your kite up into the wind.

Shorter lines make handing high winds better. Your kite spends less time in the power zone.

Sort lines like that are awesome for playing in tight areas like parking lots etc. Kills the power of the kite considerably, good for during the learning process to some extent.

2m is crazy short. =)

With short lines you may become your own wind shadow and to find clean wind you will need to spin in circles.
Just kidding , see the thread and video in Kite Skating "the way we do it in aussie"
