Worse month ever .........

Kober - 29-8-2012 at 10:07 PM

Did you miss me ??? lol

Its been almost a month since I start that stupid work project that needs to be completed by 9th of September . Going crazy here ... Work and sleep .... and some xbox time to relax when day is over....
My kitemobile is just standing there every time I come back from work and tempting to skip work on next day and go kiting .... I dont care if its only 10mph .... I miss kiting .... and somehow I got feeling that this one month break will kill my kite skills ..... lol ...
I am distracted with every movement of leafs , flag or breeze on my face .... When watching movie yesterday I pay more attention to surroundings in park scene then to actual action .... This sickness , addiction or whatever you want call it is hunting me every day and night ..... and whats worse...... I LIKE IT.....

My new Gin Uru kites are coming next week ..... and I will NOT wait any longer .... I am calling sick and go to any place within 3h drive that will provide enough wind to enjoy that crazy sport ....

That's the way you do it :D just make sure you don't bump into your boss on the water...

Kober - 29-8-2012 at 10:15 PM

lol.... I am THE BOSS ....lol .... so ... hope that my client will not kill me .... and my crew will do the job without me not reachable by phone .....

haha  I haven't flown for a week and I feel the same! nearly binned work today but don't want to get into the habit!!

hitting the beach with my tent and a bunch of kites as soon as I finish on Friday and then 2 solid days kiting :wee:

Outer Hebrides ?? Sand Flats

Somewhere around here? - looks pretty good....

lives2fly - 30-8-2012 at 02:26 AM

Thats exactly where I'm going actually! + the beach further south. The flats aren't great for landboarding because that whole bay fills at high tide. The whole area is an incredible kitesurf spot though.

The best big landboard spot is further north here

Kober....Get a fan and have it blow on your face when you're sleeping all night...This may induce subliminal dreams of you and your buggy going down the beach at record speeds........:singing::singing: It might also alleviate some of the pain and suffering of not having any good wind.

Can't wait to see you and the "Crew" at WildWood...fall winds are a coming!

isnt it an irony ? we have developed the most efficient methods to produce food, invented industrial robots that build stuff for us, have powerful software that does calculations and other tedious work for us.
yet, we still work countless hours a day.
before the neolithic revolution ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neolithic_Revolution ) , where we lived as hunters, we had maybe 3-4 hours "work" a day, gathering and hunting food. the rest of the day was relaxing and social interaction in small groups with no more than 150 people. life was hard and short, yet humans back in these times had more spare time each day than we would dare to dream of nowadays.

whats the use of all that technology, if it doesnt reduce our workload ?

cheezycheese - 30-8-2012 at 12:52 PM

Don't worry bro... Soon it will all be a memory !!

rocfighter - 31-8-2012 at 04:54 AM

Konrad just look a bit forward. We will all be together in Wildwood very soon:wee:. Just close your eye's and feel it. NO NOT THAT:P:evil::no:

rocfighter - 31-8-2012 at 04:58 AM

herc that is because we hadn't discovered GREED yet. I earn about 16,000 a year. I have a nice house on 7.5 acres and have a decent car. Plus many other things. If we all could live with less than the Jones' we could all be happy.
Oh and marry a great lady with a good job. That helps too!!

kitedelight - 31-8-2012 at 10:10 AM

haha, can't we all relate.
Sounds like you're going through withdrawl and need a little kite detoxing to reboot the system. :)

I did it .... after 12pm I just pack my gear and go ..... my phone start ringing before I arrive at kiting spot and some questions from client end up in my voice mail box....
Wind around 15mph welcome my X19 and me for 4h session ..... with some gusts above 20mph it was hard to control that monster foil sometimes ...... that did not remove smile from my face ...... Finally .... I got to kite again ...
....When I start riding .... I did not care what is happening at work, did not feel that stress that is fallowing me every day lately ..... my mind is just switch to that " enjoy kiting " mode .... that makes me so happy ....lol....
.... after session ... life is going back to normal... messages waiting on my phone, tomorrow another day at work, whole labor weekend is not looking good...... more stress , more things to take care .... I just hope those better times are coming soon .....

Awesome. I'm 2 weeks away from my Kite Friday.

Just keep thinking about your happy place. You'll get through the crap.
