raycapp... I was going to attempt to answer this yesterday, but put it off in hopes that someone else would chime in. I'll try my best, but I can't
promise taht it'll be all right.
3m duel line is where you got me. If you can change the bridle to a 4 line setup then we're in business. With a duel line I'm not exactly sure how
well kite killers are going to work. Or how they would even be setup. On a 4 line the kite killers are usually attached to either both or one of the
brake lines causing the kite to fold up and come down, similar to applying brakes on handles. For a duel line, if you applied kite killers to one of
the lines, I would imagine it would just cause the kite to spin uncontrollably. Whether it would eventually fall or not, I'm not sure. I guess that
would depend on the wind and many other circumstances as well.
If you get a harness it's nice to have the brake away just in case the kite wants to go and you can't detach the kite from the spreader bar in time.
The only thing a harness will provide is less pull on your arms (allowing you to fly for longer periods of time since your entire body is now holding
the kite and not just your arms). If you want to fly for longer then a harness is nice. Necessary? No. It's probably better to learn the basics
before hooking into a harness as well, just because once you're strapped in, if something were to go wrong you'll know what to do. If you haven't
flown that long and strap in, that could end in a nice bruising session.
I hope this helps you out some and brings you back to the site asking more and sharing more with the rest of us. Hopefully someone will chime in to
better help you with the duel line setup though.

There's several safety bar setup's for this sort of kite, instead of killing it by the brake lines, you have to let it flag out like a Venom or 4line
LEI.
There's a couple home made options that would work as well, best one is to tie a loop onto one of the kite leaders comming off your bar, run the kite
line through the loop and put a stopper ball on it, so that when the kite's flying the ball is pulled tight to the loop and gives you the proper line
lenght to match the other side. Important, both the loop and the ball must be strong enough to take the full power of the kite. You then take a safety
leash and attach it to the ball, other end to either a wrist strap or your harness. Kite will fly normally, when you ditch the bar, the safety leash
should pull on the ball, the bar should be pulled away from you and the line that goes through the loop should be left pulled tight by the safety
line, the bar should travel up the one tight flying line allowing the kite to flag out and kill the power. There's a little more to resetting the
kite, making sure there's no twists and such compared to the normal 4 line way, but it'll work and do it in a safe manner.
