A really sad story about a 13 yr old killed longboarding in Calgary. Out of control at the bottom of a hill, hit a curb and was clotheslined on the
throat by a wire traffic barrier. Had his helmet and safety gear on too.

We can do it to bystanders with kite lines or do it to ourselves landboarding in confined spaces. I am always thankful when I finish a session without
incident.

Wow, sad story.
You are so right, all of us can become complacent in our sport. Thanks for putting the reminder out there. I too am thankful after a good session with
no incidents.
