I was out flying my Pansh Legend and a guy in a car stoped to watch me. I didn't think anything of it because it happens often. The guy came up after
about 15 minutes and told me he had a bought a trainer kite a year ago, took it out in 25MPH winds the first time, got mad at it and threw it in the
bag and never took it out again. I am not sure of the model. I told him I would help him learn. He is 195 lbs so would his trainer kite work well when
I am flying my legend in 10-12mph wind? My parents will be coming along because he is over 20 years old.

Yes, 10 - 12 is ideal to get started in!
What you want to do is slow him down. Get him just to keep the kite at zenith for as long as it takes for him to start reacting correctly. Then have
him keep it high in the window as he starts to fly it back and forth more. Keep him from diving through the power zone until he is ready. He should be
trying to control the kite until the memory reflexes set in. Once you see he has them set , let him loose !
Explain the wind window , how the power comes on and how the edges extend down both sides.
If he has a 4 line kite have him make a point of keeping the brakes loose all the time. Brake input causes spins and all sorts of issues. Best avoided
at 1st.
For some reason this sport really appeals to Old Guys. This guys interest isn't as strange as it may appear. Smart of your parents to watch out for
you but it is very logical he is interested.
Teaching somebody else forces you to think about what you do. It is great for both of you !

Two of my friends are also interested in kites so I might be training two more people.
