Dealing with cops at your work at 7:45 am.......awesome

flyjump - 12-9-2012 at 07:12 AM

I need a kite vacation asap. The joys of being a public school teacher.............. long story short parents from two different kids car chased each other through town yesterday like dukes of hazard after their children got into a name calling match in class.

what is wrong with our future?

43patrick - 12-9-2012 at 07:24 AM

That type of behavior is expected from kids every now and then, their parents show show a little more respect.

flyjump - 12-9-2012 at 07:26 AM

lol, its crazy that parents don't have the ability to reason and cope with situations. kids are always going to call your mom fat and ugly but most of our moms never chased them down with a car hahaha, oh my

PHREERIDER - 12-9-2012 at 07:44 AM

they are only doing what they know

and its sad. desperation only begets desperation.

the parents are children...your second childhood is a choice, the first is not.

the probability of this cycle being broken is unlikely, only available through conscious living.

Natural selection is truly needed in our society. It should be reinstated.

windwindwind - 12-9-2012 at 11:09 AM

Wow, that's crazy! I have a 14 year old daughter who thankfully lets a lot roll off her back, I can only hope we raise Dominic to do the same!

Kamikuza - 12-9-2012 at 05:10 PM

... you ever tried refereeing kids sports? I had to eject a small group of parents from an inline hockey arena once :o the kids were 10 or 11 years old.

flyjump - 12-9-2012 at 07:05 PM

nocando, that is still a big possiblity once my wife finishes school. I thought about you the other day. I bought an air rifle to shoot some vermin that keep eating up my garden. Wish you were here to shoot them with me

nocando - 12-9-2012 at 07:08 PM

yes i AM OK WITH DOING THINGS LIKE THAT

am a cruel Aussie

have shot the crap out of rabbits foxes lights sheds and the odd feral cat.

flyjump - 12-9-2012 at 07:15 PM

hahaha, theres not many critters that play around in my garden anymore. I had a big problem with ground hogs this year. Normally I'd just use a .22 rifle, but since i'm in the city limits it is a no go. I thought an air rifle would be fun to shoot around with. Needless to say no more rodents. it reminded me of the conversation we had about air rifles at NABx, and i was like "dang i wish nocando was here"

To get rid of the critters have you tried exotic methods.

Fireworks

Sodium bombs

Chlorine bombs

Petrol

just a suggestion

flyjump - 12-9-2012 at 07:26 PM

hahahahah Sam, that video cracked me up! I was not expecting that

Or the much more mundane fox urine which is available a most farm supply stores and even the local Home Depot. Gophers, skunks, rabbits, and similar tend to vacate areas that have been marked by foxes.

Available in liquid

Or granular form

Please note that it is only meant for use against 4 legged varmints.

The manufacturer does not recommend and the local constabulary will most likely frown on a more unilateral use.

----------
WILLMAR, Minn. – A 50-year-old man told authorities he was fed up with teens toilet-papering his house during homecoming week. This year, he decided to defend his property — with a squirt gun filled with fox urine.

Now, Scott Wagar is in trouble with the law. He pleaded not guilty on Wednesday in Kandiyohi County District Court to misdemeanor assault and other charges. He was released on personal recognizance.

According to police, on Sept. 16, Wagar used night vision goggles and saw 15-20 people running toward his place. He told them to leave and sprayed them with the fox urine. He also struggled with one teen who he says grabbed him from behind.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday, Wagar says he's innocent, and has a right to defend his property. He says groups of teens have been toilet-papering and egging his house during homecoming for about eight years, and each year it gets more destructive.

He says he sprayed the kids with a mixture of one-third fox urine and two-thirds water because "it stinks, but it doesn't hurt anything."

It makes people pull their heads in.
