water sunglasses

SeaSpecs don't float so well... there are 3 pairs on the bottom of Lake Biwa they lasted about 3 months.

I still have the Sharks that I've been "testing" for the past year or so. I've treated them as badly as I could - wiping salt off the lenses with a dry t-shirt etc - and they're holding up nicely. Also, the lenses are replaceable and IIRC you get dark and yellow sets of lenses when you buy a pair - very overcast or late in the day, the yellow ones would be great and they're still polarized too.

They float properly but have very rarely come off my head. Comfy. De-fog better than the 'Specs. Cover more of your eyes and sit closer to your face at the edges.

Can't say enough good things about the Sharks. And have nothing bad to say about them except... they can be hard to get hold of :o email 720-armour directly from their homepage or I can give you the address of the guys I'm in contact with.

My next pair of water glasses will be Sharks or 720-amour but... I'm worried the pair I have now will never wear out

The water-shedding is mostly the same... there's always something on the lens though - neither are completely hydrophobic. Fogging and floating are more important IMHO.

Noticed today that there's a film on the Sharks - probably for shedding water - that I've scrubbed a small hole through. So, they're not indestructible :D but like I said, I've treated them pretty badly to test them out. I think if you didn't do things like wipe sweat and crusted salt off with a dry cotton t-shirt, or scrub them with a brillo pad then they might last even longer and if not - you CAN buy replacement lenses!

Out today with them on too - we had 25 to 30 knots with some decent sized waves, and I got tumbled a few times... the turbulent wash just behind the breaker doesn't offer much water to ride in - who knew?
So I got slammed, dunked, tumbled and blasted in the face by waves. Sharks never shifted

Forgot to add... can't remember the price but it was around US$100. Remember that I no longer have the SeaSpecs so the Sharks are still cheaper

I also have a pair of the Stouts that I use for driving, general fooling around but they're not polarized... super-light and comfy though!

100$ sounds good...pretty sweet looking glasses. At 100$ I might just try the sharks but
I Got quoted 180$ by the us distibutor though...thats a pretty big price difference between the two...I'm probably gonna try out the sea specs. Well see it goes.
We'll see how fast I chug through 3 pair.

I faceplant hard at the cable park and it keeps my eyes from rattling full of water. I would never trust sea specs for that. Amber colored lens is best so you can see when its darker.
