It was filmed in nice 12-14 mph winds. The person flying is my one of my friends. He said he knew how to fly it, but he clearly didn't. After the
video ended he flew it into the group of people down wind. No one got hurt but after this I am going to be careful about who I let use my gear.

Unless you removed the video, the security is cranked down too far for general viewing.

Sorry I just noticed that only my friends can see it. I didn't post the video so I can't make it public.

Carefull !!!
We have all sorts of issues gaining and holding kite locations. You and your friends actions can potentialy effect us all . More so when posted
online. Folks want to label us as dangerous. We need to fight that label constantly.
If you are going to lend your gear it is up to you to make sure it is in safe hands. Don't just believe anybody who says , " I can fly that "! Ask
them to explain the wind wndow to you. If they can't do it and satisfy you that they know how to deal with it then YOU must teach them before they
ever get a kite in their hands. Same with how to activate the safety. If they really know what they are doing they can tell you what they would do. If
they can't then you must show them how it works + be sure they show they can do it before being let loose.
Bringing others into the sport is very rewarding but you need to do it right ! If not they will burn all your best spots + the rest of us in turn.

The only reason I belived him is his grandfather makes kites. He told me today that he has seen his grandfather fly kites but he has never flew one.
If the kite did produce so much power I am sure he would have been flying good withen 15 minutes.

YUP,
About 15minutes and a bit of a talk about the wind window + safety going in and lots of folks " get it ". I find the trick is to keep them from trying
to fly it at all. Just keep it at zenith for the 1st few minutes.
As I mentioned have a person describe the wind window to you if they say they can fly. You will know by how they describe it how they will deal with
it.

Blade is right, we all have a sense of responsibility to protect our sport! It is hard to resist a friend asking to fly, but it is harder to fix a
mistake that could endanger the watching public! Shame your friend stretched the truth about and put your integrity at risk. Good luck in the future
with showing folks how to fly, stay safe and always second guess someone else when safety is on the line.
