KLB Open Berlin Templehof
Looks like I'll get to try out some different kites. Never been to a big kite event before. Should be fun.

The HQ handed me over a 15m Matrix, pretty much no questions asked. The winds were fairly light. I was schocked how fast it filled up, after a couple
of tugs it was up in the air a couple of passes overhead and then it was fully inflated and pulling strong.
At times I was sining the kite, and then the gusts would hit and screaming away I'd go. There was a squall coming, but at this point there was nothing
visible on the horizon. I was amazed at how lifty this kite was. I'd never been that high for so long with such a soft trip back down.
I found this to be a very forgiving kite. A couple of times after jumps I luffed the kite up and it just sorted itself out, refilled/opened and I
could keep flying. No bowties or twists. It also did well eating up the gusts which kept getting more interesting.
I quit while I was ahead, and was reallly impressed with how easy it deflated and rolled up small. This is when the light rain started up again. I
gave the kite back and was watching the last round of the freestyle competition with the HQ reps, when we start commenting on the black clouds on the
horizon. The rain picks up, the announcer calls a weather break, and then a 10 minute horizontal downpour was unleashed. There were about 8 of us
inside the HQ tent holding it down. Sure was glad I'd stopped when I did, stoked on the 15m Matrix.
