Spoiled bratty kids.

So I am static flying a 6.5 vapor in like 4 mph winds maybe less, and from across the field I here the soccer rats yelling "kiting double rainbow super double rainbow double rainbow gay" Seriously who's kids are these. I really wanted to go and "talk" to the coach but sadly I figured I would just rant on here. Like ranting to the coach or the parents for that matter would have done me any good oh well. If it happens again I will talk to the coach. Maybe a few extra laps to and from the fence would do them some good. oh by the way 1 to and from is like a 1/4 mile so Im thinking 10 should be good. MWahahahaha.

OK now thats out of the way anyone else have similar stories.

I wish there was enough wind to jump I was lucky to keep the monster in the air

Don't waste your breath or raise your blood pressure over the little maggots.

We were at a park once with a kite. It was set up ready to launch and some tard kid comes over and starts fingering it - wife said "Don't touch!" and the kid said "I wasn't touching it!" :uh: then the mother comes and says "Don't you tell my kid off! And he wasn't touching it!"

You can't win eh.

Yesterday I was flying (Pulse2) at the local football field when a bunch of kids came out to throw a ball around. I moved over to one end for them and they kinda followed me, interested. Asked me some general questions about it, I answered and popped a quick jump in. All were so amazed! They wanted to play all around me, my gf was like be careful guys those lines and the kite are very dangerous. They didn't really listed so I kept it at Zenith. My gf was like, this is why i dont like boys... So i said, HEY. See this lines? If you get between me and the kite and it comes by itll chop you in half! That got their attention so they then stayed back and away. Need to be a little bit more graphic.

I've had a ton of experiences with people just coming up and asking me questions, being really nice. Only one instance where I was told I'm not allowed to kite where I was. But never really had anyone who was making fun of me/the sport.

Not ranting or doing anything for them to hear was a good choice, if you push a group of boys they will just be worse and more annoying.

What those kids were doing is against the law in Canada and I am sure a few States. I would have talked to the coach when they started calling strangers Gay while representing his team. Crap like that has no place on the playing field !

I've been heckled from cars passing by,... (usually high school kids) like so:

"DON'T (XprofanityX) UP!!!"

or

"HEY, QUIT THAT (insert derogatory name for homosexual here) XprofanityX!!!" (note HQ symphony is rainbow colored)

... at least you guys get people that will pester you face to face... I don't even have the luxury of showing off to show how cool it can be

I had some kids yelling at me before and then I said "no you couldn't do it, you probably arent coordinated to do it" you know teens their pride gets the best of them. Put a 5m in their hands in low wind after getting drug around a bit and nose diving the kite they got the picture. then a smile formed on their face and they asked where to get one lol

My best friend had the best situation happen to him. In 08 when the pansh ace was first gaining momentum he was flying his 6m in 20+ mph wind. People were honking and laughing as they drove by. He caught a huge air (probably 20-25 feet the picture shows him above one of those billboards that are on the short poles very close to the ground). A menenight (sp?) turn around and his car and came back to check on him. he says "i looked in the rear view mirror of my truck and saw you 20 feet in the air, i thought you were dead" my best friend laughed and said "I thought I was dead too" What a crazy experience! I wish I was there for that one. The picture from that day says more than a thousand words

I get the experience of the "Einsteins" on the playa coming up on their motorcycles and swerving to run over the lines on the ground.

pyro22487 - 11-10-2012 at 12:18 PM

Oh that could be fun if the lines get tangled in thier wheels. put some heavy duty lines and see if you can't make those wheels stop moving.

Life and flying time is way to short to be worrying about some adolescent child who is trying to get themselves some attention. I would just put some earphones on, crank up some tunes and enjoy the wind. The hecklers will become nothing more than a distant memory.
