Trim hole above or below bar?

Bladerunner - 16-10-2012 at 06:42 AM

While we are talking this and that stuff, I just built a Frankinbar.

The bar is old skool Cab' with the external clamp on trim hole. I have never had the trim line run anything but through the bar.

Is it better to have the bulky part that the line runs through above or below when riding ??? :puzzled:

Below seems right to me but then red is right and around we go !

Interesting that nobody has an opinion on this style of bar?

I will start off with the bulky part below the bar and just accept red is right in this case. I suppose I will end up using it the way that feels best for me. Just wondered what others who have had this style of bar felt was right.

Bulk goes above bar. Red is never right. (my source, some ozone bar I have sitting around with the bolt-on loop!)

I had a frankenbar with the bolt on eye. I had it above the bar. It was less likely to do a full on spin when the safety was deployed.

Back in the day I was going to have my blade 3 modded to a depower by Pegus Kites and they offered a bolt on solution for the center of the stock Flexi bar. The bolt on was to go on the top of the bar for that mod.
