Seems like an odd place to have a quake:o Hope everything remained intact.Feyd - 16-10-2012 at 04:59 PM
We get them periodically. Small, barely noticable but tonight it was loud.
There's a fault about a mile north of here. Goes over Mount Kearsarge and sticks out like a sore thumb on google earth. Think I might hike up and
take a look in the morning.homebrew - 16-10-2012 at 05:27 PM
I felt it up here in Berlin little shaking for about 5 to 10 seconds.Feyd - 16-10-2012 at 06:02 PM

Oh, did you just find someone to play with?
Lake Sunnapee is now draining out..
skimtwashington - 16-10-2012 at 09:35 PM
...thru a crack the earthquake opened in the lake floor.:oFeyd - 17-10-2012 at 05:53 AM
Maybe Phil, maybe.
He's at the halfway point between us and the northern lakes we ride. Pretty sweet location.
All those little lighthouses on Sunapee are going to look really silly without the lake.
Shake rattle and kite!

.. a big dry lakebed will open up new Mt bike terrain..... and some irregular(not flat) kite skiing terrain.
Sunnappee is where kiting all started for me..on ice skates.homebrew - 17-10-2012 at 02:28 PM

Yes, i just started last year only went about 8 to 10 times. Lots of fun i go to Jericho Lake.Feyd - 17-10-2012 at 02:54 PM
WOW! I didn't know if the road in to Jericho is open in the winter. It's not a very big lake but it's a closer drive than Umby and Azi.
How is the wind on Jericho? Is it punchy?
When did the Jericho ice out last season? Can't remember what was my last day on Umby. But it was a damn short season last year.homebrew - 17-10-2012 at 03:41 PM
Yes you can drive right up to the lake, wind is punchy at times. Not sure when ice was out it was a short season. I like Jericho lake because its
close and takes me ten minutes to get there.Feyd - 17-10-2012 at 04:26 PM
Yeah Chocorua is kinda the same deal. About the same size, kinda small but easy to get to if you're short on time.
Jericho has a much better orientation and the mountains are far enough out to not kick up as bad a rotor issue like we get on Choco. What kites do
you tend to use the most there and are you on skis or a snowboard?homebrew - 18-10-2012 at 12:43 PM
I have one kite its a Montana 6 .... 9.5 meter and i use skiis. Sometime this winter i'll go to lake umbagog.
