Reactor II 10.8 RTF (SOLD)

pbc - 22-10-2012 at 06:46 PM

I'm selling a Reactor II 10.8 for $365. It's crispy and clean. The lines and the kite look new.

The kite is RTF with original lines, handles, backpack and a big orange ground stake. I added a fat, red strop made of Spectra. The red strop color-coordinates nicely with the red white and great canopy and the red and black handles. The accessories make the outfit, right?

I picked this kite up from KSKiteAddict this summer and have only flown it twice since. That's just not enough flying time when I am Jonesin' to buy something new and expensive. It needs to go to fund the next purchase.

You'll love the strop. It's just awesome.

How much for just the strop?

pbc - 23-10-2012 at 10:58 AM

For you, my very best price.

Please don't tell anyone else what a great deal I'm giving you or everyone will want that price.

Price drop to $405

pbc - 15-1-2013 at 08:20 AM

It's Tuesday! Time for another price drop.

How about $395? It's for a good cause--my NABX 2013 fund. :-)

Philip

pbc - 22-1-2013 at 08:12 PM

Once again, the price must fall. This time to $385.

Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Oh cr@p,... That's a sweeeeet deal.

Wish I could Philip, I've been eyeballing this since you first posted it, but I just can't (I promised wifey)

What did you promise her? "I'll never buy a kite from a Gator?" "I'll never buy a kite from someone that grew up in an orange grove?"

Philip

BeamerBob - 23-1-2013 at 09:32 AM

This kite is a day saver. You show up to fly but the forecast doesn't. I've had one of these flying with power in 4-5 mph winds. Launch in a puff and you are rolling. This kite retails for over $700 new.

Well, ... No,... It was more like "no more expensive kite stuff" for a while (like a year from the last kite that I bought).

pbc - 24-1-2013 at 05:09 AM

Sell a kite to subsidize the next kite expense. It's shows you are willing to make a sacrifice to achieve your goals and keeps the quiver light and fresh.

That's what I am doing. :-)

soliver - 24-1-2013 at 05:15 PM

After flying Angus's 8.6m on JI in Oct. I would looooooove to have one, unfortunately I don't have any kites that I feel I could part with to fund the purchase.

I finally feel like I have a fully developed and functional quiver, and I kinda feel like it would be the same for me as the reason you are selling it,... It would only come out on a rare occasion, so it seems way more like a "want" than a "need"

Also,... I'm thinking my next big purchases will either be GoPro or a harness,... Then maybe an ARC.... I guess we'll see in a year or so

But really, ... I wish I had the money to spare to take it off your hands especially at the price you're selling it for!

Maybe I'll be ready and willing when your scorpion goes up for sale :)

pbc - 24-1-2013 at 06:26 PM

ah the illustrious 10m Scorpion. you are not the first to express interest in it. sadly I doubt it will be available soon. I think it will stay in my quiver for some time to come. it serves me well and I can't afford to replace it if I go to nabx.

Philip

soliver - 24-1-2013 at 08:28 PM

Meh,....

I'm in no rush,.... Yea though I am thinking my next KITE will hopefully be my first ARC, but like I said, that's at least 9 months off,... We shall see.

Nice RII though, hope you sell him so you can get what you want!

Good luck!!!!!

pbc - 24-1-2013 at 08:38 PM

I added photos of the strop and line at https://plus.google.com/photos/116935021710436287021/albums/5804914666792912545

You want this. :-)

Morrie Williams - 25-1-2013 at 08:59 AM

It sure is tempting, but I'm not sure I can convince Kelci.

pbc - 25-1-2013 at 09:26 AM

Does she have a birthday coming up? No woman likes to feel older, but there's nothing like a kite to make you feel young.

Maybe a Valentine's Day present? The kite is red, as is that fine strop. It's sooo timely.

BeamerBob - 25-1-2013 at 10:09 AM

I wish someone would buy this so I could quit checking my budget!

macboy - 25-1-2013 at 07:54 PM

You and me both BB.......you and me both. PBC - thanks for checking the shipping for me. As I said, I'll see where things go if nobody snaps this thing up. SOBB Spring will be here fast......

pbc - 29-1-2013 at 11:55 AM

It's Tuesday. Time for another price drop. How about $375? Or should I just go lower?

Philip

BeamerBob - 29-1-2013 at 01:49 PM

I'd just buy this from you but I had to order tires.............. from Germany, nabx registration for 3 is coming up, and I just bought a buggy rack. I've blown the budget through April I'm afraid.

pbc - 5-2-2013 at 07:44 PM

It's Tuesday so the price must fall again. Today's offer is $365 plus shipping.

FYI, the kite is now boxed. Shipping in the US would range from as low as $14 is you're near Gainesville, Florida, while Washington state would be $24. Fedex says it would take 5 business days via ground to WA. Shipping to Canada would be $46.

Thanks for your interest.

Great kite (it used to be mine :)) and a great seller to work with. Enjoying your Scorpion, Phillip... hope you don't regret the trade we made.

Cheddarhead - 13-2-2013 at 03:32 PM

Man, I could have used this kite today! Day off of work all to myself but completely wind skunked:mad: Just don't have the cash right now. I'm so depressed....

Bigbear97e - 13-2-2013 at 04:15 PM

Am I the only one starting to vibrate :D

Green Bay, Wisconsin? FedEx says 3 business days. If I mailed it tomorrow that would put it on your doorstep when you got home Tuesday. :-)

It all works out for the best. I'll be going to NABX soon with the money I make from selling this.

It might be time for another price drop...

Scorpion16 RTF with zero7 bar? That's exactly what I trade out to get this one. :-)

The Scorp is a fun kite, but my goals are different. I was thinking more along the lines of:

1) A trip to Primm, NV the first week of April.
2) A more comfortable harness--anyone have a PL Dream for a 31" waist?
3) Phantom IIs in sizes 9, 12, 6 and 18.

Private email sent with, what I hope, is the end of this thread.

Poor kite, sitting unloved on PKF for 5 months. On to it's third owner soon.

Paul.

Sold to jeepersjoey in Primm two weeks back.

jeepersjoey - 16-4-2013 at 08:30 PM

Yea...now that you mention it I do have a weak back after Ivanpah.

I wonder if the numerous times I fell out of my buggy has anything to do with that?

pbc - 17-4-2013 at 05:10 AM

I was more worried about your nose.
