Hiya,
I just bought my first DePower (2007 Best Waroo 13m -- Yeah, I know.) Anyway, I have everything I need except for a harness. I am primarily on land
and snow, although I'd like to take to water, eventually. My budget is about $100, currently, and I'm looking at a few options. I could really use
some advice, because I couldn't find any detailed info on these harnesses:
My info:
weight = 170
waist = 33" +-1"
height = 5'9"
experience = lots of FB foil XP. This is my first DP.
Options:
1) Mystic Blazer (L)
2) Dakine Nexus Kingpin (L)
3) Dakine Nexus (L)
4) Dakine Tabu (L)
Any experience or suggestions? Also, safer is better, for the nonce, if that matters.

The Mystic Blazer is a land and snow specific harness so it can't be used on water. You would also have to wear your harness under your snow gear so
it fits in the summer. The ozone acess harness is one size fits all so it can be worn over your snow gear but it can't be used on water.

Dakine Fusion is my harness of choice. Lowers my center of gravity, keeps me warm and protects me in crashes. I have literally 1000's of miles on The
Fusions and I have never had a problem. The handle abrasion from ice/crust/snow very well. They aren't made of foam like most water harnesses I've
seen.
Medium or large depending on what you are wearing under it. We tend to go up a size here to accomodate the winter gear.
Older versions come with a line knife and pocket. Newer models do not.
The Mystic and the Ozone snowkites are good options if you want less bulk (and less support) than the Dakine offers. Having played with the Ozone a
little bit I like the comfort level but it doesn't distribute the forces effectively when you really start to push it. At least not on hard snow/ice.
It's probably great in the deep stuff.
