Red Knob Red Knob !

abkayak - 29-10-2012 at 07:04 AM

damn....i went on that same ride....several times that day...the world seems different from that angle

bigkid - 29-10-2012 at 07:15 AM

:thumbup:nice recovery, ducking always helps to lessen the impact of a wild kite, hope everyone was OK. The relaunch and the attack of the help was the best.

B-Roc - 29-10-2012 at 07:19 AM

So aside from that pummeling, how are you liking the Outlaws?

BeamerBob - 29-10-2012 at 07:47 AM

I couldn't tell what caused things to fall apart. Did the back wheel catch? Bite off too much power out of the turn?

I am loving the Outlaws. I have the 6/10m combo. They have become my go-tos. Very smooth and predictable. I keep saying that I need to put in time with the Phannies but always whip these out.
The six needs an update on the chicken loop. It has the old skool FS red ball safety release that I'm not a fan of.

I was sliding the rear end out and it stopped abruptly sending me over the side rail. When I landed I thought 'hey grab the brake line' Wrong thing to do. I was laying on the bar face down and when I grabbed the rear lines I reverse launched and dragged myself even further thru the sand... All is well though. Thank god I had on a lid - smacked my head pretty hard. I am more amaze that the go-pro adhesive withstood the impact.

Kober - 29-10-2012 at 08:54 AM

Nice one Mark ...... It was good to see you again raiding with WBB crew

Crash - 29-10-2012 at 04:27 PM

I told you Cheezy, you cant break a Go Pro that easy. :D While the house is shaking from storm, I'm killing time with movie maker and what I can share of what I call "A REAL BLAST" ! Sorry I missed the ski's while tooling all the way to almost north beach for a speed run. Shame that just when there playing our song we get evacuated. I hit the road and stopped at the airport for a few runs before going home to prepare for storm. I wanted to fly over and film but things were definitely not the norm....and even more of an entertaining trip to say the least. You guys rock, hats off to you ;-)

skimtwashington - 30-10-2012 at 05:56 AM

Nice meeting you Crash. Sorry I missed the night flight of the plane.

Waiting to see 3D!

WELDNGOD - 30-10-2012 at 01:49 PM

I had a crash kindof like that. The glue held but my mount broke and my camera suffered some memory loss. I hit hard packed dirt. I was hoping I caught some footage of the crash but no luck. I guess my gopro needs a helmet too.

shehatesmyhobbies - 30-10-2012 at 03:58 PM

Ducking was the only chance we had when that thing relaunched. I was yelling "pull your safety" repeatedly, but he could not get to it. So I jumped on the kite! Glad my brother from another mother is doing good afterwards! Was a good ride till all hell broke lose!

Can't wait to see Cheezy ride again!

cheezycheese - 30-10-2012 at 04:27 PM

:bigok: Donnie I'm still sore. My neck is stiff. but it was worth it. Glad I had a helmet... That second if black is when my head hit then you see my googles go flyin.. :D

erratic winds - 30-10-2012 at 05:00 PM

Glad every'body's ok! ;)

snowspider - 30-10-2012 at 06:04 PM

FS will be using that video to highlight the Outlaws easy relaunch capability. Also to be featured in the training video "Transitioning from buggying to face scudding." Glad your ok big guy!

cheezycheese - 30-10-2012 at 06:15 PM

Face scudding... I'm still shaking sand outta my helmet... :D:D

WELDNGOD - 30-10-2012 at 07:02 PM

Glad your OK ,my Brudda! Being a stuntman in the over 40 class is tough ^%$&, you gotta train for that stuff.... See ya in April Bro!

Cheezy that was awesome...really started to smile at around 2:30 cause I could see it coming......loved the slo-mo sand flying through the air as it looked like you were in a clothes dryer

I had a couple good OBE's myself in the over 40 club...Just remember... this is what keeps us young.. Always a nice feeling too when I know I can go out and show up a couple 20 somethings on the beach at my age (even though I know I'm not old)

I was glad to see you there too and in good health!

I am happy that Chezzy is OK, makes life much nicer when you can laugh about it later on.
But I have to ask for clarification with the part "this is what keeps us young". The OBE's or that we can buggy?
The OBE's in no way keep me young, just the opposite. If you figured out a way for the OBE's to make you young, THEN LET THE REST OF US IN ON THE SECRET.
I would even be willing to PAY BIG $$$$$$$$ for just a couple of years.

BEC - 1-11-2012 at 10:41 AM

I'm with you BigKid.....If I can avoid an OBE then my body will like kiting/buggy much more....Just meant that going out, exercising and acting a little crazy keeps us young/younger rather then sitting on the couch and eating bon-bons in front of the boob-tube all day long.

I resemble that remark. and they are no longer bon bons, they are Nestle Dibs now, and they come in flavors and a 140 piece bag:lol: You are over 40 aren't you.:P

And you are right about showing up those "kids", wait a minute, that's what my wife calls ME.:smug:

BEC - 2-11-2012 at 04:55 AM

43 on Sunday :eekdrull: I get yelled at daily by my wife to stop winding up the kids....haha & My Mom still has to pull me aside and talk to me on holidays...you'd think after 43 years of having to do this, she'd get tired of it....

I pay all my bills on time, so therefore I really feel like I've matured a lot since High School.

bobalooie57 - 22-3-2016 at 07:29 AM

I don't know how I missed this the first time around, but I'm glad you brought it back up! I'm also glad you weren't hurt Marc, I'm always afraid something like this is gonna happen when no one is around, thankful to say it hasn't happened yet!
