Boy you really got bit hard! Give Rdavis a u2u or email him at rian@eastcoastkitesports.com, he has a manta, he was talking about selling it, it will need a little tlc, but it is a functioning ride. He may have also changed his mind, not sure, but worth the email.

If Rian has changed his mind, there a Manta single seater that's been on KiteBookie since July.

Listing reads:

Very nice Manta landsailor for sale.
Well taken care of. New tires, new bottom tramp, new seat
new seat belt (dune buggy seat belt) really nice!
Great buy at $800

Not sure where the seller is located so shipping charges might sting a bit.

Sam

I do still have the Manta and I haven't changed my mind about selling quite yet, but I am starting to reconsider. Here's a couple pics I took just before the Wildwood Buggy Bash...

I've since put a brand new set of Peter Lynn barrows on it. It is completely functional in its current state, but could use a little work to make it look young again. The sail is what needs the most work. It needs battens and has holes where the battens and mast slide in. For casual fun, it works fine in its current state. If you were looking to race or something though, it's not an efficient sail. I actually had it out yesterday and was having a blast ripping around in abandoned parking lots. I had posted it for sale a little while back and was asking $500. Since I'm starting to reconsider selling though, I will probably be a little less flexible on price and it may go up as I start doing more work to it. Shoot me an email if you're interested and we can work out details.

Cost to ship a Manta Landsailer

jeepersjoey - 5-11-2012 at 08:23 PM

I shipped one from CO to NJ a few months ago.

Cost was $226 and it took me 2 hrs to take it apart and box it.

Not cheap...

Thanks for the info.

I'm still going to Buggy but I had a blast in the Blokarts at Wildwood! Plus I have some local areas where I can use a Blokart but not a Kite Buggy. If I can get a used Blokart I'm there!

If I ever decide to sell my VTT Black Widow, which will never happen, you will be the first to know Rich.
