So I know a bunch of people were ordering custom MTH Boards.
I'm wondering how they perform.
I could be looking into getting a big Door-like board from them specifically the 160x46.
They seem quite heavy. Any thoughts from people that have them?
Also, what Pads/Straps and fins are you using?

I talked to Mike about weight of my Spleene so I weigh mine and he said they are very close in weight. I have one of his midsize boards so haven't
tried the larger size. Had mine made for flat water with slight chops. I love the look since I was able to put my own image on it. Now, I don't
want to scratch it. It rides real nice so far but I haven't had a chance to test it in higher winds ( above 15 mph). Wind has been weak here in the
Houston area all year.

I couldn't be happier with mine and it's the same size that you're looking at 160x45. As for weight, I haven't noticed much due to lack of comparison.
When I was having mine done though, he did mention that he could add a foam core to reduce weight on the bigger board. I didn't go for the foam core
though. I haven't held the two side by side, but Rich has a 164cm Spleene Door and he said he thought mine was lighter.
The overall process of getting a board from him was pretty smooth too. I asked a bunch of questions and he always got back to me quickly and answered
with certainty. I was very impressed by his work and for the price it can't be beat. I actually just got an email from him today and he let me know
that he has an eBay auction up for $230 plus shipping ($35) for any size fiberglass board (no carbon fiber).
As for straps/pads, I went with the Dakine X-lace setup and threw some fins on that I had on hand. It was recommended that I go with 2 inch fins
though. I also had my board set up with holes for extra fins in the middle of the tips, instead of just the four corners.
My advice, go for it!
