Where is my snow ????

Kober - 6-11-2012 at 08:02 PM

Ok ....
Lets get that snowkiting season started ....
I can't wait any longer after last years big disappointment ..... and this years kiteboarding season ended with destruction of all our kite spots .....
Then .... my buggy is broken ..... I know ... I am lazy a$$ and should have that fix long time ago .... maybe it will be easier to finally buy a proper buggy .... since I need to confess that after last WBB event and whole new experience with race kites I am looking forward to do some more buggy sessions soon ....
My piggy bank its been filled as we speak for my new ride and mount for my car ..... few more Gin Tonkowas to complete my set , lines and handles ..... F#$% this hobby is expensive ....
I am still hoping to get few kiteboarding sessions this year in my dry suit ... and waiting for my new 2013 Aboards to be available .... unbelievable ... they have so many orders that first batch was sold out before I place my order .... Hope to get those soon ...

And finally ... going back to topic ....
My first power kite experience happen on snow ...... my first session with on shore winds on local beach covered with snow .... Thats where the magic happened ..... and get me all excited about whole kite thing.... I was able to launch my kite and ride on my snowboard for hours with smile on my face and my buddy Jim right behind me ..... I need to get more of that ....
Where is my snow ??
I hope its around corner with steady strong winds to get my heart pumping again and again with excitement of that passion....... sport .... and way of living ....
Its hard to explain feeling that follow me every time my kite is up and ready for action ..... and most of time there is no difference between buggy, water or snow ...... but right now I am crazy about recalling that first snowkiting experience ,,,,,
Please ..... let this winter to be epic ..... full of snowy and windy days, full of amazing sessions with kiting brothers and sisters .... with weekend in many new destinations with perfect snowkiting spots for YOU and ME

He rev'd it up to high in the spring and broke it's neck! Not sure if it was the gooseneck or fork that went bad. But it went bad!
Konrad that's a great post. I can't wait for snow as well as ice. You should try to come up to Saratoga Springs in Feb, for the ice event. Nice place and a large lake.

Well- i did not put a kite up but we skied 30+ inches of powder in WV on Sunday and expect to head back again this weekend for a little more. Nothing like skiing between the trees with a little pow pow and free heels

rockfighter .... You know I be there if possible .... I am sure this time all those lakes freeze ..... Make sure snowspider set right date for it .... to stay away from Tug Hill and NH snow jam ...

Flyguy ..... this is not nice .... I am in bad condition as it is and you just make it worst ... I need to wait another month before any resorts open in PA .....
