I was thinking of converting my pansh legend 4.5m to depower for those days when a venom 13m will try to kill you. Taking a kite that maxs out for me
around 15mph and taking it out in 25mph+ winds seems like it would make the kite self destruct. How likely is it that the bridles will rip out of the
kite or the cells will rip? I would make the depower bridle removeale via larkhead and knots so I could fly it on handels in the small field a 2
blocks from my house.

How much time do you have? It would take a lot of tweaking to get it right but you might become the next expert.

The bridles and tabs aren't likely to rip out. Bridling and tabbing is practically the same on all kites and is the same on all kites of the same
make in different sizes (a 2 vs a 8m kite in the same lineup). Go for it but don't make it removeable. Draw up a detailed bridle plan so you can fix
it if you have to but don't double up the bridles. Start with a 1 pulley mixer by combining the Bs and Cs and then toggle them on off (just B, just
C) to see which responds better and then if you want go with a 2 pulley mixer so the Bs and Cs are each engaged proportionally.
Spend some time looking at FS, Ozone, HQ bridles in the low apsect and high aspect lineups so you can get a feel for how they work and pick a model
you like and start experimenting.

There is a member that just sold a 2m kite that he converted himself. I would correspond with him and see what advice he has to offer. He seemed
pretty successful.

You can also reach out to John at Powerzone who specializes in things like this who also guided / did the modifcation that Cheezy is referring to. He
is great though I don't know if he does this work for all kites or just particular models.
