Jazz legend Dave Brubeck died yesterday morning at the age of 91.
Pioneered the "California Cool" jazz not to mention polytonality and unique time signatures.

And yes, a sad, sad day, the loss of an artist who brought jazz to an untold number of people who would not have heard it before.

I saw him a couple times in the last 10 years or so - amazing what he could still play at his age.
