Doesn't the geometry of the Basixx negate the advantages of the carbon axel?van - 6-12-2012 at 07:21 PM

Good point .. was thinking the same. I guess the advantage would be cool factor and lighter rear end ??Ruudje - 7-12-2012 at 12:06 AM
The geometry from the BasiXX has not changed one bid , the weight in the back is reduced . The balance point in flight will be shifted forward , we
need to test this if this is good or bad . The Carbon back axle behave differently then the Stainless back axle , its more stiff and will not bend .
The overall weight of the buggy will be reduced , In theory you can fly higher :Ange09:
But the testing will start as soon the wether is good . Untill then we dont now what the Carbon back axle will bring ......

If you land to hard it could bring splinters in your butt:shocked2: Though I'm sure it will be fine. That stuff it wicked tough. Good luck with the
testing and balance issues.
What is the weight difference between the two axles?
I was doing some work with carbon fiber on a sail boat and was contemplating making an entire buggy (except forks) out of it. But the geometry and
cost where the down fall.
