i was discussing this the other day with my plumber/kiting buddy and all the regulars at our beach are self employed/tradesmen. i think they go hand in hand. i know alot of work doesnt get done on windy days!!!

I did time lapse of me making new kitchen .... gone ... with my broken HD ...

Me and Jaymz are also self employed in construction ... When wind blows we work just like on video above ..... to finish 8h project in 4h and have some time on beach ....
I skip countless amount of days at work..... and then also I finish many projects ahead of time because of time needed for kiting ..... Just like today .... I got home 20min ago after 11h of work just in case one of week day will provide perfect wind conditions .....

Gawd those are big tiles and what is the silver thing hanging from above and who was the supervisor at the door. Builders butt... My friend says I have no butt and I build things all the time! It took 30 years to get chest hair , I'm thinking my mc'cracken will never show.

I'm a... Finish carpenter, cabinet maker, locksmith, and metal fabricator and I work in facilities maintenance.

I've often considered being self employed, but I have to have health insurance,... And I love my job.

Oh yeah,... I like kites too.

the tiles where 50x50cm and the bathroom was only small:spin:
the guy at the door was the home owner who had just come back from work and was heaping praise on me for such a great job!!!
the silver thing hanging from the ceiling is a towel heater/radiator that has an electric supply going to it so you can heat the towels without having the central heating on. the cable had to go under the floor so to keep it out of the way while i tiled the floor, i suspended it from the rafters.:ninja:

we have a thing in the UK called the National Health Service which is free healthcare for all. i really cant see why the USA cant have this system. i couldnt imagine going to a hospital and being turned away because i didnt have insurance.
