I don't know if anyone on here is near or involved/affected by the shootings in Connecticut and I certainly hope not but I thought here's as good a
place as any to let you all know we're feeling it deeply up here too. I'll be sure to cuddle my girls a whole lot longer than normal tonight and
forever.

This crap seems to be happening almost every week now. Hate to say it- but wasn't really surprised when I heard the news.
Why can't these people just take a walk in the woods and take themselves out without involving others?shehatesmyhobbies - 14-12-2012 at 03:17 PM
I just got home and hugged and kissed all three of my kids, a little longer than usual, and told them I love them. We will sit down and discuss with
them what happen so that they don't hear it on the bus first.
It is a very sad day for all of us.
As a parent and also a volunteer that works with kids year round, I am deeply saddened. I cannot imagine what those families, and the entire community
must feel at this time. My flag will be at half staff as requested by our President. My heart will be heavy for a long time.
Thanks for sharing your concern as well.
I did call up rocfighter, aka Dave and make sure his family was not close. They are not.stetson05 - 14-12-2012 at 03:53 PM
Sure hope none here are affected but my heart aches for those that are.RedSky - 14-12-2012 at 05:05 PM
As news breaks around the world, we are all in mourning.
Beyond comprehension. I don't have any kids of my own but I keep thinking of the parents and I keep thinking of Christmas and their presents under the
tree and when I do I just sink into myself. This is just too much to bare.
Thank God he killed his parents. Their lives would have been over.
Too much to bare, too much bare.flyjump - 14-12-2012 at 05:09 PM
Its scary to be a teacher sometimes..........thats why I keep my classroom door locked at all timesrocfighter - 14-12-2012 at 05:24 PM
We live in CT but no where near this incident. TheKid aka Cameron was a bit upset this afternoon about it. Those of you that know him know he's a nice
kid. And these things bother him a lot. I gave him a big hug when he got home, and we talked about it for a while.
I hope every one is able to deal with this horror. And I hope soon these happenings will stop.sand flea - 14-12-2012 at 06:08 PM
Thank you my Friends
Our hearts are heavy here in Portland Oregon already, and then to hear about the tragedy across the country really rips me up.
Thank you for your prayers

Thanks Macboy...
My oldest is 7 so my girls are just a little too young to understand, and thankfully we don't let them watch much TV,... but it really makes your
heart flip over to think about what that guy did... It is truly evil....
Mine got extra hugs tonight too.Kamikuza - 14-12-2012 at 06:32 PM

Soliver we have six kids. The youngest (Cameron) is 16, the oldest is 33. They are all very upset. We also have 5 grand kids 5-9 years. This is very
up setting to every one. It truly could happen any where. All we can do is to hope this kind of thing stops.alasdair macleod - 15-12-2012 at 01:48 AM

Senseless, a truly black day for humanity as a whole. Casts a pall on everything.shaggs2riches - 15-12-2012 at 09:38 PM
This tragedy had my mind occupied the past two days. Why would someone go to such a level to go after children?? So many lives never to be lived and
so many parents left broken. And at this time of year too. Makes no sense.
