I know I am a day early, but it changes NOTHING.
As a kid, I had an older cousin who showed me how to open Christmas presents with out any sign of being opened. So needless to say for years I knew
what was under the tree as soon as the the lights were turned off. It made the morning of the 25th a big let down as the only gift I didn't know about
was from Santa.
I learned as a parent that I had to make the wrapping paper, Un-Wrapable. I also put other things in the boxes as to deter the sneaky lookers. One
year I gave my sons MC Helmets and put a piece of fire wood in the helmet box and left the helmets in the basement on the wood pile. They opened the
gifts together and were not that excited (I noticed some of the other gifts were re-taped showing their skills needed to be worked on) as if they knew
what it was. At my encouragement to try them on, the look on those 2 faces upon finding the fire wood in the boxes was worth all the money in the
world. I laughed so hard I couldn't see, my youngest son dropped the piece of wood on the floor and had a fit. I told them to take the wood and put it
on the pile in the basement, as my oldest son did as I asked, He found his helmet on the wood pile and yelled in excitement as it was just what he was
wanting. My youngest son looked at me and got even madder as I was laughing harder and harder. He just refused to admit I pulled one over on him. He
was the one that was sneakily opening the presents and he just realized he was busted.
It was the last time they tried to sneak a peek.
As I have gotten older, and my wife has gotten younger, we go out to the shopping mall and I buy her present as she looks for what she wants. I get
on-line and order what I want and put it on her CC.
This year she got a diamond necklace and I am awaiting my new bumpers for my truck.
This is my Christmas gift from my wife, as soon as it arrives I get to unwrap it.

good to know, I will send it out as soon as I get another big box.
I got a bag of money a few years back from my grandson, it was full of those chocolate gold coins and a million dollars that the US Treasury shredded
up into confetti. We ate the coins and took the confetti out and buried it in the back yard, still waiting for the tree to produce fruit.:singing: The
sign that said Money Tree planted here, produced mushrooms when it fell over and rotted.:puzzled:BeamerBob - 24-12-2012 at 02:13 PM

Merry Christmas All from SE Texassoliver - 24-12-2012 at 06:45 PM
We've been particularly blessed in our finances this month, so (as planned) I got myself a little something not kite related:
This is the only pic I have of my new kitemobile (a 2008 Honda Element), but I've sold my old truck and another family car and those funds are going
to equip it with an awesome roof rack, an one of Van's buggy racks.
Once it gets all equipped, I'll post some pics.pyro22487 - 24-12-2012 at 07:18 PM
Santa came early about 2 weeks early. I got the gopro 3 but then I downloaded the app for my phone and now my phone controls my gopro and even sends
me a "preview" of what it sees. It actually is live feed with a 4 second delay. So excited about the camera still learning angles and views obviously
from my somewhat failed attempt of filming my last excursion.BEC - 24-12-2012 at 07:53 PM
:D I have yet to try it, but I got a great gift...

A brand new PL Divine harness...I can't believe how much better it feels just sitting in my buggy. stetson05 - 24-12-2012 at 11:15 PM
I even got the wind I asked for. My wife is the best!
Cerebite - 25-12-2012 at 08:56 AM
I got (myself, my family hates to spend money) a Divine harness and a Rev Power Blast 4-8. That Rev is HUGE. With the harness I was holding down a
6m NASA wing in 30 mph gusts (7 BFT for those of you who do not do Imperial).Snake - 25-12-2012 at 10:32 AM
I got a multimeter, 2 sweatshirts, and an atb. The atb hasn't been purchased yet because I haven't decide on what I want yet. I would rather have got
a kite being I can't use an atb for atleast 4 months. Maybe I'll get a kite for my birthday in 4 days. All I really want for my birthday is for the
wind to be blowing so I can have my first snowkite session ever (not including my failed attempts).AnnieO - 25-12-2012 at 11:02 AM
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 here. What can I say, I'm a geek at heart. Otherwise, I got some miscellaneous mountain biking parts/items.shaggs2riches - 25-12-2012 at 12:21 PM
Wife got me a Keurig coffee maker and a bunch of coffee for it. Kids got me a personalized travel mug. Got my new snowboard bindings a few weeks ago
and just put a pair of boots on layaway. Lots of snow and frozen lakes but no wind and I put my back out. Good thing its -30c today so I would have
been lazing in the house anyway. Merry Christmas everyone!!!powerzone - 25-12-2012 at 01:19 PM
The wife got me an ice fishing sled. Has attachments to use as a pulk and all. Super psyched to be able to haul all our gear out with it and just
load all the gear intop the van as one unit.
It's the little things......:bouncy:elnica - 25-12-2012 at 02:31 PM

I remember the Christmas I snooped. I had all new hockey gear. Had put it on and shown it to my friends well before Christmas day. The day itself was
such I let down that I was cured from snooping for life !
GPS and a nice big board bag are my kite related gifts.carltb - 25-12-2012 at 02:43 PM

Nice stuff under the tree. We haven't put one up in 3 years, This is the 1st year out of the last 3 that I remember. Thought I would do something a
bit different.
I got another very cool gift today, actually it was 14 very cool gifts. I bought a Helium tank and a bunch of Shark and Clown Fish Air Swimmers,(I had
some funds left over from the insurance check for the front end repair and new bumper of my truck) I put them together and gave them away to the
neighbor kids. The younger kids had to have dad help out but the older kids were on their own. I told them I would top off the Helium for them on the
4th of Jan. and again on the 14th.
I liked the big smiles with the thank yous, the hugs were a bit hard to deal with as I am not a big hugger. I got some big grins from the dads also.
If they want one, they will have to buy them.rocfighter - 26-12-2012 at 06:11 AM
I got an Apex 2 7.5 for snow and ice, TheKidd got a set of Big Foot tires, And Sandy got a trailer hitch for her new car. Now she can pull the kite

Sexy I know. That and the oven mitts along with a face mask helmet
and board shorts over the wetsuit and I'll be stylin. I just need a gojoe for the race board and the image will be complete.
The Aton boots are supposed to be the closest thing to being barefoot and nice and toasty. Which I would rather be barefoot but then my feet become
numb stumps with the current air/water temps.canuck - 28-12-2012 at 08:34 PM
Santa bought me a Contour ROAM 1600 helmet camera when Future Shop had their Black Friday sale. Now I just have to figure out how to edit - here is my
first attempt.
I would have to guess you screwed up somewhere Jon, if a hug would help out, I know where you can get one.:Pbigkid - 28-12-2012 at 10:35 PM

Looked good to me.
The area looked like a frozen lake until you had to turn at the road and the goal posts would have been a bit hard to keep above water. Still looks
like a nice spot.RedSky - 29-12-2012 at 08:46 AM
I got a Jag E-Type. Didn't come with any glue or paint tho. And yeah, that's all I got, Lol.pongnut - 29-12-2012 at 09:33 AM

I think we all found a bit of extra laying around.
I got a box from "Food Lovers Fat Loss System" for my birthday. Opened it a day early and looks like "We is on a quest, My Love".
So much for getting ready for hibernation. I think I will miss the ice cream the most.
