Cant find info on this kite. Is it 6.9 or 5? Come with lines and bar?kiteplace - 26-3-2013 at 01:02 PM
5 is the NPW model (NPW5).
6.9 is the size.
You may not be able to find info because HQ stopped selling these (NASA Wings) a couple years ago.austexblo - 26-3-2013 at 01:39 PM
does it come with lines and control bar or handles? Also, I am a newbie, but an ex sailor and hang glider pilot. Would this size be workable for me?
I'm 190lb dry! Thanks mate.3shot - 26-3-2013 at 04:35 PM

Welcome austexblo!!
Maybe author a new thread (in kites section, or gen chitchat )telling everyone a little more about your directions/intensions of the kite. Recreation?
traction?, etc.
Oh, start saying goodbuy to all your money too!!!austexblo - 26-3-2013 at 04:54 PM
Good Idea.kitemaker4 - 26-3-2013 at 07:49 PM
I buggy with nasa wings all the time. It all depends on the wind speed and what type surface you buggy on but the kite will work.

I own this kite as well.
This is a GREAT quad flier for newbies because it moves so slow (not a dig but a complement). It gives Newbies a long time to react.
It flies in nothing. I can do walking 360s all day long with it.
It is a great, fun kite. I never buggy with NASA but I see Cerebite do it exclusively.
Oh...and they tend to gravitate to the tops of trees...right John? (hehehohoho!)kite killer - 26-3-2013 at 11:53 PM
Wow digging up the past! Only needs a breeze for sure! This is Old school, New condition, Kite only..I also have a 5.3 NPW5 for $100 or so. The
NPW5's have less nose collapse from what I have seen. I think I have a set of homemade short lines that can go with it, but any handles will do.
Flys on a bar too, bit less control, but I have only dabbled with the bar. Flys similar to a Rev, can fly a bit backwards (needs brake input) 360's
are great! Amazing upwind from a ?primitive design?:megan:
Will be leaving for Red Lake Pre-event tomorrow, so I will miss the next week +1/2. Still availabe I guess...hard to find for sure.austexblo - 27-3-2013 at 08:02 AM
