I have R/C. It is the first time I have seen the discus launch glider though.

I think we all have something for the no wind days. I have a dodge ram that I drove around at NABX a few years ago with my gopro mounted on the roof
of the truck, got some good movies.
When I get bored in the office I have these to play with.

I have this monster waiting to be assembled for 6 ? months now .... and then .... how do I transport it to the field ????
RC plane restrictions here in NJ are also nightmare .... I will need to drive about 1.5h to legal spot ...

Oh yes , I have gliders from 1 to 4.5 meter and gas planes to 150 cc. I have several tip launch gliders but prefer a winch or hi start.sand flea - 2-1-2013 at 04:55 PM
Hi Sean
that looks like it's really fun. I dig the way the guy starts the thing flying.
Say hi to Becky for me and tell her she needs to come back to Sunset this year!

We plan on being down for the week in the spring. So you had better have more than weekends off.

Here's my Alula discus launch from a couple years back...still have it here, sitting on shelf behind me, just flew it last month.
Although I was playing on a slope, it's got a pretty good glide ratio for a wing. http://youtu.be/oJ5wfLzmQPAMDK - 2-1-2013 at 11:16 PM

cars this big http://youtu.be/VXYpVffpkNo

What's the name/wingspan of your sailplane Kober? I've always been interested in getting me a "full-house" glider with all the goodies
(flaperons/spoilers/butterfly)...
Maybe I'll scratch build me one out in the future, just for giggles.....think I may have to put a motor/folding prop in the nose though....
