If I don't do facebook, do I still have to like you, or can I forget?
So I have no idea if I am coming, will have to wait until after the Quincy Kite Festival, before I know. I'll come to SOBB if you come to Quincy May
25th and 26th 2013.:Pmacboy - 2-1-2013 at 01:47 PM
I'm in! And the WIFE is looking forward to coming along too! May not have much time for kiting as a result (entertaining Anna and Holly while mommy is
busy with Julia) but we'll be there nonetheless! Starting trip planning now - will start another thread for that.WIllardTheGrey - 2-1-2013 at 01:49 PM

Why yes you did miss one! Hog Island in Texas is across from the city of Matagorda which is between Port Lavaca and Freeport. Hope to be there in
April. Was wondering how long it would take for someone to say what the %ell.bison - 4-1-2013 at 04:27 PM

No. But if your going to call me names and bad mouth me, just do it to my face, hate being the last to know... :saint:kiteboyza - 5-1-2013 at 03:52 PM
I'll be there plus my neighbour, anybody got a small learner buggy for him to use?
Jeff, stop being a #@%$#!....lolbigkid - 5-1-2013 at 06:27 PM
If I was the type of person that would say bad things about you, you better believe I would say it to your face. With that said, I would be more than
happy to give you a rash a crap for what ever reason. Sometimes the rest of the world has no idea of what is going on and most of them don't want to
know, and I find myself saying things that people don't understand, but the person the statement or remark was pointed at, knows exactly what I am
talking about.
I like Bison, and I give him crap when I have the chance just like he gives me. It's all in good fun.
Now that retired Pansh Racer is another story..... he gave me a collapsible flag pole and stake and a couple of used tires and wheels 2 years ago at
NABX because he didnt have room to take them home on the plane. Found out later that pole was broken in half and the tires had holes in the tubes and
didnt hold air. I kept them and was going to return them with some of my own garbage when I saw him at SOBB, but he left the day before I got there.
So, there is a reason for my madness, it is because of my mother didnt hug me as a kid.I would think she would have if she would have been around. So being tarnished for life I think I turned out OK. Even with the #@%$#!,
that I have been labeled with, it fits me rather well.:dunno:
HaHaHaHa what a crock of a story. If any of you guys going to SOBB this spring need a hug, I will be more than happy to point you in the direction of
Jellis, he needs a hug and you all can buddy up for a big group one.:P
Hey Jon, you gona bring back some wild pig from Hog Island for the bbq?
I think I will be there the fist part and miss the last half. See you all then if not before.kiteboyza - 6-1-2013 at 09:24 AM
hahahahahah, i pissed on your truck wheels and farted in the buggy you lent me
I am sorry...
not really jellis - 6-1-2013 at 10:43 AM
Someone always #@%$#!es their pants with the group hugs, so we quit doing that. :-)
The pig idea sounds great and here is where you get it. http://www.leoscajuncorner.com/?page_id=16
The problem is I never get back to the Northwest with any left.bigkid - 6-1-2013 at 04:10 PM
As long as the pee is outside the truck, and the water can wash away the brown haze in the bugs seat, we can buggy all day.:bigok:
Jon, That place advertizes "BIG PARTIES AND CATERING ORDERS WELCOME".:piggy: just be sure to add some BEEF to the pig order for those of us that don't
eat such animals. HaHaHaHa
I will start the donation for the BBQ, I will put in $5.00 and I will bring the BBQ and all the works for the big cook off.:o 1 fork, 1 knife, and a
biiiiiiiiiig drink, what are the rest of you guys bringing?kiteboyza - 6-1-2013 at 05:33 PM
what, food, at camp? I'm in for some meat action!kiteboyza - 6-1-2013 at 05:33 PM

This has got to be one of the best, "boy did you ever open yourself for this one" questions I have heard in a long time.
You will more than likely get more learning in at NABX, as the tide and the weather have more to say at SOBB than at NABX.
I am sure others will speak about this subject, so you will get an ear full.
I go to both, but I dont work and I can play more than most. It is cheeper to go to the beach if you gamble, as there is more, better, and less dust
at SOBB. None of the red stuff on the kites to take home to show the world you spent your time at NABX
go to both.:wee:macboy - 7-1-2013 at 09:47 PM
Wife - SOBB. Hall pass from the wife - NABX. Afterall, what happens in Vegas......
But really....if she doesn't kite, not much for her to do at NABX. Seaside and area is beautiful and the tidal influence on the kite-flying time mans
more quality time together and with us PKFers.lucky_13 - 7-1-2013 at 11:12 PM
were is a good spot to stay in there? or do you all camp? im thinking we will go to sobb instead of nabx this year.. i have to keep my wife happy
so i can get more kites lol.. if anyone can email some info that would be awesome thank you.. philip_209@yahoo.comBladerunner - 8-1-2013 at 07:35 AM
There are lots and lots of options. Seaside has some nice choices with oceanside suites down to Microtel. About how many stars are you shopping for in
accomidation?kiteboyza - 8-1-2013 at 08:00 AM
been to NABX, once is enough...been to 4 SOBB now, well worth my drive from Alberta just to piss Jeff off. I buggy, surf and golf all in the same
day...yeeehaaawwwww
Good crowd and good crack! If you taske wife, go hotel, I stay in Motel 6, she can walk to beach and shops.Bladerunner - 8-1-2013 at 05:47 PM
SOBB is smaller and much more layed back.
NABX entry fee just keeps going up and up. SOBB's entry fee hasn't gone up a cent since it started.
As I am getting on I am finding that challenging the wild winds at NABX isn't exactly my bag. I am far happier on a hard pack beach. After 5 year
attending NABX I have decided to go to beach events this year instead. If you are taking Famil, EVERYBODY LOVES the Oregon Coast. You can't go wrong
bringing them along !sand flea - 8-1-2013 at 06:44 PM
Will Buggy Camp be open?
Hope to see you two at SOBB Lucky
You'll love it!lucky_13 - 8-1-2013 at 08:19 PM
thanks for the advice all.. it looks like i can take the 30th and 31st off work so we will be leaving cali on the 29th after i get off work.. the
wife wants to camp so is there a spot that you all camp at thanks..:Dtdmc96 - 8-1-2013 at 08:52 PM
I will be there....Just trying to get a few more extra days off from work .....3 days of 12 hour buggying just isn't enough.
See you all in the spring....(STOKED ALREADY)
Ken(K3)Bladerunner - 9-1-2013 at 06:38 AM
Buggy camp is dry camping in a members back 40 . It is free and fun.
We plan to take a cabin at KOA. KOA also have cool tent sites with a roofed in section , power and water. Nice if you get stuck with rain. The
government camp site is also very nice but fills up fast so you should reserve ahead. Other campgrounds are available but the Ken's of America will be
at KOA !Bladerunner - 9-1-2013 at 06:38 AM

Could someone call Phil and find out if Buggy Camp is available please.
I think Jon is out of town and I only have Garys phone number.
Thankslucky_13 - 8-4-2013 at 08:51 PM
@ blade are you only going to be there the 27th bro ?jellis - 8-4-2013 at 09:44 PM
I call Phillips Thompson before each event and ask permission. Phil is a gracious host and has once again given us the go ahead. He furnishes an area
that is mowed, water available, electricity, a burn pit, trash bin, portal potty and more. We ask as a person that enjoys this SOBB camping and
gathering area, that you please make a donation to repay Phillips for his expenditures and kindness.
Everyone is invited to our beach house on Sunday for a hamburger and if you want bring the beans or potato salad or pie or chips.:-)ChrisH - 8-4-2013 at 09:58 PM
Awesome, very nice of Phil!sand flea - 9-4-2013 at 05:02 PM

Chris C1MeatÐriver - 27-4-2013 at 08:28 PM
Really hoping to be able to make it out there next month for some fun. Just depends if I'm able to acquire some proper engines before hand. If not
I'll still have to stop by the beach while on my work driving route so that I can stare longingly. Also, somebody said something about meat!? I just
happen to work for a portland based meat plant and have a line on some quality cuts/grind for just above cost! In the Gearhart area every thursday!
sand flea - 28-4-2013 at 07:14 AM
Meat there are many kind people at SOBB, I am sure you will get some air time, come join us, you will have a blast! Stay at Buggy Camp!
Lucky, Buggy Camp is on Dellmoore Loop Drive, maybe 3 miles from Sunset Beach. I'm glad to try to help with any questions as well as everyone else.
How can we help?
I was at WILDWWOD yesterday and it was FREAKIN' awesome !:P
You would love these guys Chris. Big HUGGERS !!!
C'YA in a few weeks buddy ! lucky_13 - 28-4-2013 at 07:11 PM
Awesome thanks bro.. I have only been to Oregon once so the more info the better
do we need to bring anything .. Bladerunner - 29-4-2013 at 01:10 PM
Bring clothes / camp gear for wet weather + being splashed out on the beach. It can happen.
Of course, every sized kite you have. Anything can happen. Pads , the beach can be hard if you are pushing it.
Buggy camp is a few miles from the beach. Morrey or somebody usually post the address. Morrie Williams - 29-4-2013 at 04:16 PM
Okay, here's a map of buggy camp.

I believe there is spaghetti planned for Sat 5/25 and 6/1. Jon usually has a burger BBQ at his place Sun 5/26. Other than that, it's TBD. Anyone
have any thoughts?MeatÐriver - 30-4-2013 at 09:00 AM
