Finally got some today!

Feels like forever since I last rode on skis, felt awesome to get the cobwebs out. Rode the southern end of Green Bay but the ice was somewhat questionable in a few areas. Had to lug gear 100yrds thru the shove ice to get to the good stuff. Patchy snow with bald spots was the flavor of the day. I now know there are springs out there!! Didn't fall in, but freaky when you see water bubbling thru holes in the ice that you just skied by. Thought I had some footage to show you guys but didn't realize I mistakenly had it on photo mode instead of video. There's always next time.

Way to go, Ched. We found a new spot down here until the ice really sets. Come visit!

Letr me know when you guys get that bay all froze up. Can you fly out of the bay and along the shore on Mich?

I've been thinking about that damn lake since last Feb. SO MUCH SPACE.

Hi Chris,

Following the western shoreline, it's possible to fly from Green Bay all the way up to Escanaba Michigan if you wanted to. That's 110 miles one way, then you could hop over to
Big Bay De Noc then cut over to St. Ignace, MI. Ice on the bay can be treacherous at times. Ice shoves, shipping channels, river outlets and large cracks all make it a little dangerous. Every year people get trapped out on the bay due to large cracks that develop and they cannot get back to shore. That's when the coastguard has to come out and pluck them off. Later in the winter things tend to set up better. Your always welcome to come down and play on the lake with us!

Tood I hit up the spot in GV friday afternoon. I got some great runs in, winds out of the west around 13-16mph maybe more. The snow was not as deep as last week due to the few high wind days we had. The 7.5 got me moving at a very good speed. Hoping Bago will be ready by next weekend.
