hey, i'm jst beggining to look into kitesurfing and was looking for advice.
i intend to get lessons but all the internet sites ive read say it is important to get to grips with kites before taking lessons,
i'm 18, 6ft and rugby player build. i keep hearing people talking about the size of the kite, what would be the best size of kite for me to begin with
being heavy but strong.
if someone could help me find a begining setup that would be gr8.
thnx

It completely depends on where you live and what winds you normally get. I wouldn't buy anything before you get lessons. Many times the cost of
lessons is absorbed into your first set of equipment - they give you credit for money spent on lessons.
To get started, either buy a trainer kite and DVD or go buy a stunt kite (2-line). The first is better. Master that thing, then go take lessons.
You'll save yourself a couple of hundred dollars in lessons doing easy stuff that is not dangerous.
