Not kite related, but hit a deer Sunday morning just as I was leaving work:sniff: Just got done with a twelve hr night shift, drove out the property
gate, went no more than 200 yrds and two deer ran out in front of my truck. Broadsided one of them at 40mph, ouch. Some front end damage to my
truck, but not so good for the deer. Let's just say there's a family eating a venison dinner tonight. There goes the kite fund for a while

Ouch. Glad to hear your OK.
Never hit a deer, but did take out a cow elk with my van a few years ago, we ate her for almost a year. She totaled my van so it was a fair
trade.:bigok:

Holy cow! Elk is a whole different story. Mine was a small doe so I was lucky. We have no elk in this part of our state (thank god). I'm fine,
wasn't even enough impact to set off the air bags (full size Sierra). Makes me wonder what it takes to set them off?. Deer died after ten minutes
due to internal injuries. I felt kinda bad for the deer, but at least it was a quick death and somebody was willing to take it home for food. Need a
new grille, headlights and bumper so nothing major. Most everyone I know has hit one or more in their lifetime so I've been lucky up until now.

Bummer!
But remember, nobody cares if your truck is mangled if your buggy is blingy! Priorities, man.
