Not to complain, but this is what hurts the local kite shops, deals like this that none of us can compete with!

Support your local kite shop and keep them in business, if they carry Pansh, great!

Again, just my opinion! and Just sayn!

PANSH DEAL

BeamerBob - 14-1-2013 at 11:10 AM

These deals probably help the kite shops eventually. Not many make Pansh their final quiver of kites. They are a quick stepping stone in most cases. Hopefully they realize not all kites are the same and try at least one well designed and constructed kite instead of giving up.

I can speak from experience on the Pansh Dealer position.
Not so Great.
to make it easy to understand, I am not a Pansh sucker er I mean Dealer, anymore. It cost me toooooooooo much money. No way can anyone pass on the same deals, shipping times, prices, or anything else. The only spot where the dealers were better than Pansh was answering the phone calls and emails from those that got a kite that will never fly.
OK, I have said enough, Dino, do you want to add anything?

DAKITEZ - 14-1-2013 at 11:53 AM

I think you covered it Jeff.

The problem is Pansh would not offer those same deals to it dealers. So a Pansh dealer became a competitor to Pansh itself. Who wants to compete with the manufacturer in business?

Besides its like Jeff says. When I was selling Pansh kites I spent most of my time answering emails and phone calls for customers kites not flying correctly. I know it would have been 10x worse if I actually didnt provide directions. Thats right I had to provide directions because Pansh did not!

So it comes down to a Pansh dealer makes no money .. therefore Pansh dealers do not last. So you people out there who are just trying to save a buck (we all do so I understand) please dont get upset if you call your local dealer with a question on your Pansh kite and they simply tell you to buy a quality product :) If you dont care about customer service and quality product then buy all means get 4 kites for $200 that is alot of kites for cheap. We will know who you are cause you will be posting on here about your kite not flying properly and how to fix it :)

shehatesmyhobbies - 14-1-2013 at 12:34 PM

Agree with both of you! We never carried the Pansh, mainly because talking with Dino, knew all the issues that came hand in hand with that!

I am in the boat of save up your money, buy a decent kite from a recoginzed dealer and be happy with what you will be getting! A kite with better quality, and great customer service!

Too many horror stories about someone picking up a kite from Pansh, not getting the right kite, not being happy with it, getting hurt by it because they did not get to talk to someone that knows something about kites and what each is for.

Ride On!

They would make a great canopy over the deck/pool area as far as a visual goes...then you wouldn't have to post about it not flying...

Since day 1....just like TOOLS....You get what you pay for...Buy a cheap tool from China and it will break first time on the job...
purchase a quality tool and you will have it for a long time...

This is true about the kites too....Still have my very first flexifoil Rage 3.5 (4 years now) and boy have I gotten a lot of flying/buggy time on it...Not to mention my last two times at WBB this was the kite that made me smile for months...

Save your money and get a REAL kite....you won't be disappointed... 4 out of 5 dealers recommend it!

Is this a bad time to remind all I am selling my Ace for $75? :frog::frog::frog:

Any takers?......Hello?......Is this thing on?......:dunno:

bourgeois.jason - 21-1-2013 at 05:35 AM

Beachrights, that made me laugh!

On the topic of Pansh, I have a 6m Ace that I bought 5 years ago. It has been a good kite, but a beginner could really hurt himself with it. The quality is what I expected for the price I paid. I wouldn't mind buying two and getting two free, but I am not interested in any of their kites right now. I passed on the buy two Auroras, get one 22m free deal because I couldn't take the risk of spending $800 on three kites that may not have worked at all. I would rather put my money into something that I know will work, so I bought a PL Charger.

they must be gettin hungry.......LOL

herc - 25-1-2013 at 05:04 AM

tempted to go for a 10 sqm aurora and a 19 sqm..

any comments on the depower qualities of the aurora ? because for landboarding and snowkiting on ski, depower is crucial and should be highly effective for a pleasant ride. last week i was with my ozone zephyr and had a wonderful time (because of the big depower range of todays tubekites). but the hassle of pumping; the occasional hindenburghing still want me to have a good foil with good depower.

so - any new reviews / tests / comments on the pansh aurora available ?

judging this new video of an aurora used with a buggy: http://youtu.be/kZf2Yp83z6M
it looks quite nice a kite...

Watch for nose tuck. Brake well before hitting the edge . Try a WAC limiter .
