I wasn't sure if I should have posted this here in the kite boating section or buggy section. :smug:
I don't know what it's like where you are but my local beach has huge tidal ranges from 8m down to 1m and because the beach is so flat and shallow the
tide recedes a mile off-shore most days, which is a pain if you want to go kitesurfing.
Cadkat make made-to-measure launching trolley's but they're expensive and it means transporting the kitecat + the trolley. So I had an idea to use the
buggy to carry the kitecat to the sea.
With the way the rear axle is splayed out on the dominator and because the kitecat is fold-able, it makes it possible.
For the cost of two short planks of wood I now have a great solution and I get to ride the buggy too.
I hope to try it out properly at the beach today. Here's a video of it in action at home.
...and yes, the 700hp GTR is worth a watch. :D

Nice setup, now to figure a way to sit in the bug, launch the kite, buggy to the water, push the transformer button, and continue out to sea with out
leaving the seat.
What do you do with the bug after you walk the mile to the water? Guess you could pull the bug behind as an emergency dingy in case you spring a leak.RedSky - 10-3-2013 at 08:09 PM
:D..Well the buggy will float. Imagine pressing a button and the whole thing stood up on two 14ft legs and walked into the sea. lol...I like how your
mind works.
When I get to the water I just abandon the bug. It also makes a great anchor point to hook the kite to and take a rest.
Even though it's now much easier to carry the kitecat with the bug, it's still a hell of a walk out. Maybe I should ask popeye to make me something
with Midi's on to replace the fins.
