Trying to make new kiting converts *Video*

I took my kids to my favorite park a week ago Saturday to fly their single line kites. When we arrived I found there was a group of about 4 to 6 people all there flying kites as well. I asked a guy if they were a club or something and he said no, that he had just organized a bunch of friends to come and fly kites for fun. He also had a bucket full of dollar store plastic kites to hand out to interested kids... it was a really fun day at the park with the kiddos and I really got then interested in flying kites. My older daughter also expressed a interest in learning to fly my 2 line HQ symphony.

In passing I exchanged friendly words with the same guy and found he would be back out the following week for the same kind of day with friends... I get the feeling he is really into single and double line stuff and is probably "the kite guy" amongst his friends.

I came back out this last Saturday with the buggy and quiver and found him there again and when he saw my gear in action, I believe is response was something to the effect of "...dude, thats hard core..."

he shot some vid with his Iphone which he emailed to me:

He seemed like a really nice guy and I hope to see him out again. Hopefully we can grow up another kiter in the Atlanta area.

Nice job of making the kite work for you.:bigok:
I would say you needed a 10m for the day, less work and a higher PB. Keep up the good work.

That was actually right at the beginning if the day with my biggest kite. A little later the wind picked up and I broke out the 4m and ended up with a new PB (see siggy below).

The space I have to ride there is not super big so going fast runs you out of space super fast,... And I like being under powered anyway.
