New (first) PB :)

elfasa - 1-4-2013 at 01:08 PM

Today i drove up to a beach on the east coast of the UK (Mablethorpe) and had my first proper shot at a personal best.

Winds were fairly consistent 18-22mph I reckon.
I was using a couple of my smaller kites, but set the speed with an Ozone Samurai II 5m, and in my Flexi bug, with wide axle / wheels:

Top recorded speed (PB) was 30.9mph :) I know its a long way off some of your guys, but I'm happy with it!

Anyway, there we go. Just wanted to share :)

Nice! My PB is only 15 mph so far, hah! Am hoping to break that soon. ;) 30.9 is impressive for your first attempt.

Thanks all !!
Unfortunately I probably wont get a good opportunity to beat that speed until i head to that same beach again, which is a 2 hour drive, so I wont be there as regularly as i would like.. My usual beach is'nt as big, flat, or dry as that one, so i wont be able to hit those kinda speeds there..

Give me a bit of time to work on my freestyle progression though :)

Ha, cheers Kober :) I would like to get over 40mph, that's gunna take a bit of time though. And make a bit of progress with freestyle stuff too over summer.
