3m Buster is always a good choice to get started, Cheap as well, Also worth looking into the Beamer and Radsail. I personally like the buster for
getting people started but the other 2 kites are more than up to the task as well.

The beamer is a good beginners kite, very stable and easy to controll, and the price is fair.....
start slow and in low winds to get the hang of any new kite, especially if your moving up in size, you can fly one brand of 3meters and fly another
brand of the same size and the kite will react totally different , just keep that in mind..... always respect the power of the wind, it does what it
please's, I always tell newbies to hit the beach to learn (if you have a beach in your area) the sand is very forgiving....... c/c and asphalt is
not...
hope this helps a bit.....

HI
My first kite was the Samurai 3m.. Cost is more then some of the others mentioned, but was fun kite for me to learn on, and quality to keep it for high
wind days now.
The good thing with it.. No Lift just tons of Pull,so learning is safer with your feet on the ground..
Enjoy Flying Brother..
