Just had a remarkable wind-loving experience and am back, land-locked in Edmonton with a shiny new CYA Basic Cruising Standard certification!
We sailed for five days around the Gulf Islands (between Vancouver Island and the mainland) and had weather so ridiculous we had a hard time
remembering we weren't in the tropics! We sailed a 36 foot Sceptre with a 130% genoa in winds from 5-20 knots. Super fun when the wind was up and
super technical when the wind was low.
One step closer to the catamaran charter kite trip to the Caribbean!
