Dirtslide was going to post this one, but he is probably busy having biceps tendon reattached and not likely to be typing any time soon. His wife saw
in it in an airline magazine saying "Read this it has "speeding kitebuggyies""
Windscape 13 is held on June 22nd and 23rd in Swift Current Saskatchewan, which is a short four hour drive from Havre MT. 18 hours from me; I
don't think I'll be driving.
Site is appears to be about a square mile of prairie.

I can say for sure that in my experience, this is not a buggy event per se. It is a two day fill the sky with colour kite festival that is part of a
larger arts and cultural event.
Though not in attendance for 2011 and 2012, as a invited guest for the past six years my experience is that the space allocated for traction has
always been relatively small in comparison to that which is designated for "show kites" and "stunt" flying. Only a portion of the acreage is mowed
suitable for foot traffic with the balance being short scrub which has been known to puncture tires.
The fields are strewn with prairie dog holes. In the days leading up to the kiting event volunteers fill tunnel entrances with crushed stone, but by
Sunday the varmints have cleared the entrances or established new ones. Some serious ankle twisting for the uninitiated.
It's an eight or nine hour drive for us from Edmonton, but always an excuse to take a short break from work. We leave on the Friday returning on
Monday.
