Ocean Beach is great, but I often find it difficult to get there exactly when the tide is low. And, riding on a narrow berm at high tide is a
#@%$#!...
Does anyone in the Bay Area know of other areas that are good for kite landboarding? I'm guessing there must be some kind of mud flats somewhere in
the east bay/river delta?
My preference would be for soil/mud, rather than concrete (as in old runways) - given that I am still wiping out quite a bit. Alternately, big open
grassy areas without too many tall trees nearby?
Thanks guys:frog:

well, its not exactlly what you asked for, but there are a few of us that ride at shorline ampitheater, in the overflow parking lot, youll see the
signs that say designated kite area..... its a big hard packed dirt and brown grass field, some lightpoles to watch out for but its alot better than
the beach..... no tides to worry about just have to make sure there are no sched. concerts......u2u me and ill send you all the info....

Try Foster City beginner beach. It's working for me when tides and winds suck on OB.If tide is above 5 You might find small ponds and mud hard to
avoid.
