Full buggy setup on PDX craigslist (not mine)

MeatÐriver - 30-5-2013 at 07:44 PM

Just found this on the portland craigslist....

http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/spo/3828746749.html

Could be a nice way into the sport.... Or flip it w/e. Wish I had the cash on hand.

Although somehow I didn't notice it being listed as a "PL vmax" must be a new model, heh. Might be worth a call none the less

That's a libre full race, not PL, lol. It's exactly the same as mine.

Spidey senses start going off when the start lifting pics off the manufacturer site and make no acknowledgement of it.

And the action shot has a photographer's watermark on it.

Might be on the up and up.... but if the price is too good (buggy, 3 kites, 2 harnesses.... maybe there's a free partridge for $1K)....

ATB,
Sam

Just called the guy up. Didn't seem interested in splitting up the pkg. Sounded maybe slightly medicated. All I got out of him was that the biggest kite was a 7m. Still, I might have to swing by next week if I'm in the area and it's still there. Has me fairly curious. That's good amount of gear for the dollar.

Funny that just like mine it says LIBRE all over it. Maybe your right he's on a lot of meds. Or maybe he has 2 buggys and can't keep them straight. But I always trust Sam's spidey senses and his seem to be twitching on this. But if it's close check it out. May be the real deal.

This gear sounds strangely like Stacey's gear ? She got her Libre replaced after a car accident and hasn't been out much since . + lives in Portland.

She went by Archkiter or something like that ?

If the 7m is a PULSE I would be calling her or the cops ! Please look at it !

I agree about this seeming like it has red flags all over it.

If that is the actual pic of the buggy I don't believe it to be Stacy's. I don't recall hers being stainless. Could be worth checking out if doable to see first hand.

In a very long story which I will make short about the local police.

I have dealt with the Dalles Police department with bad results.

I had a backhoe stolen off my old property in Mouser and the officers knew who had it in 3 days.
They actually encouraged me to look for it in a different direction - erg
3 years later they had me come identify and recover it.
The value was totally destroyed in between these 2 times.
The thief's had screwed it up totally - cut, shortened and re-welded up the hoe section etc.
I sold it for all of $500 just to get rid of it and this was just the value of a few parts which could be salvaged.

I also got to waste a lot of time with the court system.
In the end the thief's plead guilty to stealing the backhoe (no help from the police I might add) but the majority of my loss IMO was created with collaboration by the police department...

There is tons of major drug problems around this area.
FYI - the police also "recovered" some stolen stuff which was removed from Fred Meyer and the thief had stolen then later sold to other people.
The stuff stolen from Fred Meyer was buried underground using my backhoe and the police knew all about it but simply delayed waiting for a bigger bust. (I updated this line - hopefully it is clearer now)

Sorry to rant - I am still pissed off at the Dalles Police.

You won't be sorry either, it's been some great conditions so far and would be great to see ya again. I'm sure Caesar would thank ya for it.
