Just FYI,... in case you didn't know.

In case you didn't know, MARKITE IS AWESOME...

I had the opportunity to meet him and his girlfriend Fiona at JIBE, and found m to be a pretty nice, cool guy. I enjoyed talking to Fiona too. I known several people from Scotland and aside from their cool accent, they're always fun people to talk to.on top of that, he's an incredible buggy pilot, whipping around an 8m RII and doing repeated suicide jibes like it was going out of style... I wish I had gotten to spend more time around him to learn some of his moves.

While at JIBE, I was teaching myself how to fly with a harness, ... unfortunately I had a hardcore crash with my favorite kite, the 4m Core and I blew out 3 ribs,... The crash was straight on the LE on wet sand and tore the 3 ribs from front to back,... In all seriousness, my mind started racing about having to get it repaired and what to do and I nearly lost it.

Mark overheard me telling someone about it and told me he'd take a look. He found the damage, and we folded the kite and strapped it up. He put it in his car and took it back with him to back Canada and fixed it up with supreme workmanship and care.

I got the kite back from him in the mail yesterday, and had I not known where to look, I would not have been able to find the repairs. I had a killer session today, which started with reattaching the lines to the Core, and giving it a go. It flew like a champ, like it had never been damaged.

So that is why I say Markite is awesome,... Many thanks to you friend, and I hope to see you and Fiona at JIBE next year!

I totally agree with you. I went up to Toronto last year for a visit and spent the afternoon hanging out with Mark on the beach and kitesurfing. He took care of the drinks and lend me all his gear to play with .. super cool host. Give him a call if you are in his area, a great guy to learn from.

With all the pond hopping that Fiona does, I think she would agree that Mark is an OK guy.:D:lol:
Come to think about it, she might be attracted to the leopard print side rail covers Mark so proudly displays.:P
I think both of them are great people, was good to see them at WW and Jibe this year.

:thumbup: for Mark and Fiona as well. Mark is also one to go find in the buggy if you want to test yourself. You won't find a nicer guy anywhere.

I really enjoyed meeting Mark and Fiona! It was great to just sit and talk with Mark as well as share the beach with him. While at WBB, I ran the beach for quite a while with Mark, me on the 18m Phanny, him on the 15m Charger II,(what an awesome kite I must say both in 15m and 19m) Every time I could see him gain on me, I reached up grabbed the bar and pushed the kite as much as I could, he was usually right there, could not get a good lead on him.

Very knowledgeable and super great to boot!
