*Video* Kite Buggying the North GA fairgrounds

So I had a lot of trouble getting good video footage at JIBE, and though I think I cam up with a decent vid in spite of it, I really didn't get the opportunity to try out all the different points of view and camera angles I had hoped for.

I ended up with some free time on Saturday and I decided to have a session in the buggy seat with the new-to-me 5.5m RII. While I was at it, I thought I would do some filming and try out some of those camera angles I missed out on at JIBE.

I drove the 25 minutes to my favorite park/ kiting spot to find the field CLOSED OFF for renovation... (OH POOP!!!!) So I headed to my next favorite spot (wasting almost an hour driving) called Jim R. Miller Park; AKA the North Georgia FairGrounds. The spot is the big grass field on the south end used as the parking lot during the fair. I set up and ended up having one of the BEST sessions I've had all year, and caught every bit of it on film to boot!!!

I spent a while with iMovie today and put this together so enjoy:

Nice !! You have progressed quickly in the buggy seat and the editing chair. The only shot missing is the one of your heart beating like a kick drum. I'm sure it was...

How about this, Cheezy:

Clips from the Editing Room Floor

In hindsight, I actually really liked some of this footage and wished I had paid more attention to it and actually used some... enjoy

Hey Soliver. What kind of wind speed was there that day with the Reactor II ?

soliver - 17-6-2013 at 05:10 AM

Hmmm... Probably around 8-10mph, maybe a little more in the gusts cuz there were points where I got to trucking pretty fast... Not sure tho since it was a few weeks back.

With your 6.9m you should be able to use it in 6mph wind as long as its steady... Problem here with wind that light is that it more lull than puff.
