After a much-needed truck tightening mod on my landboard, I was able to hit a new speed record of 24.6 MPH yesterday. I used the 5M Octane with the
MBS Atom 90 board in about 15 MPH winds at the beach. My previous record was set in January at about 21 MPH. To record the top speeds, I used the
iPhone app CycleWatch which uses the GPS to record speed.
I'm curious as to how fast any of you have gotten with a landboard. I prefer accurate-ish results captured using some some gadgetry of sorts. Post the kite, board, and wind speed involved. I don't know whether or not a
Flexboard would count as cheating since it's speed-wobble-proof. :P
