Hate to be the 1 post n00b posting in the for sale section, but we got out of kite-buggying about the time Al Gore invented the internet...
These buggies have been sitting in a storage unit in Starkville, MS (Go Bulldogs!) since January of 2002, except for 2 trips back to Galveston in 2003
(?). Before that they were regularly used on the beaches of Galveston, TX. My wife and I may have even sold some of y'all some kites and such when
we worked at Kites Unlimited in Galveston.
Mine is the red V-Max. Given the condition, heavy use, torn seat, faded fabric, etc, I'd like to get $300 plus shipping. It will need either a new
seat or major repairs to the current seat. Also included are the original straight foot pegs.
My wife had the black and purple special. Hers was used less and more gently. It's really only faded, with no real defects save for one small tear
in the side rail cover. Given its good condition, I'd also like to get $300 plus shipping.
Either of these would make a great second buggy for friends or for somebody looking to get into the sport fairly cheaply.
Also included with whichever buggy goes first is a tandem hitch/adapter.
Send me a message if you're interested, would like more pics, would like to haggle about the price, etc...

Barn finds! Nice! If I didn't just by another kite I would be on the red one indigo_wolf - 17-6-2013 at 08:01 PM
Have to ask.... are those bullet hole stickers on the downtube of the red Libre?
I thought that was a TX thing.

Seats are available for both buggies along with side rail covers and what ever else you want.
I kinda like the RED.
The second bug (black) is a Sprinter.
The V-Max is upgradeable if bigfoots are what the new owner is thinking of, forks, down tubes, rear axles, etc, all original Libre parts will fit this
fine machine.ChrisH - 17-6-2013 at 09:55 PM

Not that I need a new buggy, but for that price, that is very tempting... Always wanted a libre, if only I buggy'd more than twice a year...cheezycheese - 18-6-2013 at 05:57 AM

Doublespeed360 (Paul) rides a sprinter. These are incredible prices. Anticyclone - 18-6-2013 at 11:15 AM
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, those are bullet hole stickers on the red one :D.
To answer a question I got via U2U, the bearings in the V-max were replaced shortly before the buggies were put away. I took a pretty good ride off
into the Gulf when we had a gusty north wind one day and replaced them after that. The black and purple one (Special or Sprinter?) never had enough
use to need new bearings. My wife was more inclined to sit on the beach, have a few beers, and take the occasional run when things were just perfect,
or tandem behind me, as you can see from the wear on my back axle.
I kind of feel like I priced them too low now:D, but we've closed out our storage unit and they're in the way. After sitting unused for so long, it's
time to let them go.bigkid - 18-6-2013 at 01:14 PM
If you cant sell them, I will buy both of them myself. I can always use an extra buggy or 6. HaHaHaHa
