New kite curse

My 11m Nasca 2 arrived yesterday. Wind speed was 3 knots,for next three days a Strong Wind Warning (15 -25 knots) has been issued. Looks like good flying, but not for my new kite. The new kite curse is working.

That's a curse that can work in your favor though. Just buy a big kite to have good winds. I can live with that.

Wind warning was BS for today. Edward and I sat in the sun waiting wind and it was not in vain. After buggering about flying static or trying to buggy in two knots, mid afternoon brought magic south. F ing awesome, can't wait to try on Sunset.

I just became caretaker to a 14 kite quiver(oh joy:D)…so I expect the winds to shut off till at least October.

I plan on purchasing something in the 8m range for my low wind engine in the next month, so I have every expectation that once I receive it, the winds will start nuking.

a little video from yesterday. The wind is right at the bottom of the kites wind range. You will notice the kite back stalling whenI pull the bar too far in. No back stalling today in 12-14 knots.
So far I really like this kite and I am not usually a big fan of depower.

The new kite curse tried to get me, but my new kite is a low wind engine, so I got to fly anyway ;-)

:thumbup:...yea owner went for a walkabout...so i have some kites to keep from getting too lonely...this is a job i look forward to...gonna start w/ the Cquads and be certain to keep the dust off everthing best my ability

I see what you were saying about the difference in shape from the AlaSCa .

Pity the winds were so strong and squirrely today. It's looking good and South tomorrow ! :bouncing::bouncy::bouncing:
