I have been doing a bit of tinkering, (again), and have these to play with.
anyone have a clue what they are?

the cylinder looks to be either a bolt on weight or magnet. No idea on the left object.

The one on the right is the one that is, and has been used for some time.
The one on the left is the new one I am using now to see how it will work.

The one on the left appears to be a furniture (leg) screw in corner bolt, but for some reason there is an extra bolt protruding. So I am probably wrong on that one. The one on the right appears to be a leg (stool foot).

Are there any numbers on it?

Jimmy, I have it installed and not tried it yet. It is a bit more, like 65.00.

CSA, nope, wont fix the awning. Only a new awning will fix that.:P

The rubber bushings in the libre front end wear out... thought you might be trying something else... time for a new project!

The one on the right is the original rubber mount for the Libre front suspension system. It's life span is about 100 miles or so. They were hard to get and the cost was a bit high.
With that I have the same thing in a softer durometer that should last about twice as long for a bit less cost.
The one on the left is designed for the same type of movement as the fork produces. So I will be doing a bit of research as I see how it performs.
Now that the rubber band strap issue has been taken care of, the mount is the final piece.

Haven't been on here in a while, but your setup looks like a polyurethane sway bar end link might be a MUCH cheaper and plenty tough solution. I haven't had the best of luck with linking images, so here's a listing for them at Autozone.

Wow, that's a huge url.... They are cheap at $13.00 for 8 pieces and include large washers to back them with. Depending on how you set it up, it could give you 4 or 2 sets. If your want your buggy to look like a race car you can get the red ones. :D

Here is a link to how they tend to be assembled. They join the end of a sway bar to the lower control arm. They see quite a bit of pressure and torque.

I'm all about doing things easier and better for cheaper. Not saying this is the only way to go, but when I saw your original picture that's what I thought of. It looked like an even better option when I saw what they were used for.

Those rubber bushing are easy to find on generator. The round one with stud could be find on Homelite brand. The other one looks like any generator with a honda motor or a copy of the honda power unit.

Check there for an exemple... the motor and generator are mounted on those kind of rubber bushing

The Energy Suspension bushings are polyurethane. They last longer than rubber and have a higher durometer while still retaining flexibility. Polyurethane is used specifically in race applications in cars over rubber because it gives better feedback and higher control over movement whether in a motor mount or suspension bushing.

I have no idea what size thread that is, but I've bought isolation damping mounts for machinery and exhibits equipment from McMaster Carr many times. Go to www.mcmaster.com. Search for 'vibration damping sandwich mounts.' Many options in material, durometer, stud size, male/female config. Might find a substitute for $15-25.

lots of good ideas, I like the one that welded a door hinge to the fork and used a spring to make it bounce. :lol:

So woodland, hows your Libre work with the polyurethane? Mine broke, thats why I'm looking for a better setup. And one that cheaper. Come to think of it, the Flexboard could use a new bushing setup. Should have looked at the local auto parts store for the answer. Oh, wait, thats what they did in the first place. Guess thats why they suck. Next time I wont spend a few weeks talking to a couple dozen manufacturers and asking for samples to try and picking the brains of those that make the stuff. Yep, 3 bucks for a couple hinges and an old screen door spring and I'm good to go. :thumbup:

But what do I know? I'm always looking to learn something new.

Just an idea... in my mind... if you got access to old part scouters like BW's Yamaha... the fork is shock mounted... if your a "real pirate" take ATV three wheel triple crown... mount the scouter fork on it... than perform more threads on steer tube than you got a nuclear proof front fork suspended!

I am late to class as usual. And no I did not do my home work reading. But I do believe these are both types of motor mounts for an engine on a generator or something of this type. I hope this is correct!!
