I see that our population of kiters has grown. Awesome!, I have been flying locally since 2005. It has been a long time coming.
But now we can talk of a local meet up when the weather turns. Who wants to buggy? :ninja:

How true that is. I'm hoping I can make an hour or two tomorrow for some plain ole static. scrubby wnw wind tomorrow, so no cracker box riding

I'm sorry there was shoddy winds this weekend.
It's only because I finally had a chance to get out this weekend to fly.

I don't know your schedule but Tuesday & Wednesday both look like 10-15MPH winds. Want to get together one afternoon for some static flying?

North Wind forecasted for Wednesday should be good conditions for the Yorktown Waterfront. Flat winds right off the water. (It would need to be late afternoon for me.)

I usually fly in the small grass field where they hold the markets and such. It's right down the hill from the parking complex and Not a lot of foot traffic but lots of spectators.

Occasionally, Randy or Jill from Patriot Tours (Local HQ Kites Dealer) will come out and chat some..

My wife jokes that I'm on a lot of vacation videos..

It was a hard decision between the 2014 spring WBB or JIBE. Taking the family to GA for the whole week. Maybe I can make 2014 Fall WBB??? Just not enough dang vacation.

The sand turns into that soft, gravelly mix from Sandbridge south, even at low tide. It would require bigfoots for sure. And in First Landing state park, you are only allowed to do nature oriented things. Like fishing, bird watching etc. No swimming, sunbathing, Frisbee, kitebuggying, flying kites or anything NOT nature related. This rule is posted on their webpage.

must have been 12 people pulled from the surf today. All ok, but close calls.
HUGE rip currents. I couldn't resist those big swells today. Prolly go static on the ridge tomorrow.
