Flexifoil Blade Mk V 8.5m VIP Ready-To-Fly, $550 shipped Continental US

Kite is in "like new, barely used" condition. Realistically has less than 1.5 hrs usage on it. Includes kite, Flexifoil Backpack, Flexifoil ines & handles. I traded for this kite last winter with a friend and fellow PKF member (I received it as "Kite Only". I am adding a set of Flexifoil lines and handles to make this deal better.

Amazing kite that just isn't getting used because of limited kiting time, so have decided to part with it. Have my eyes on something else at the moment, so that is also a reason for selling this beauty. No reason for it to just sit around. Extremely poor choice and potentially dangerous kite for someone new to sport.

say it ain't so Jim! ;)

I can vouch for this kite & seller.. Jim's kites are always in amazing shape! This used to be my VIP, which used to be mogul's, which I think came from Dino. It's slowly making it's way around the country. Unless this is a different VIP?

I probably only flew this for 30 min. Heck, I'd buy it back if I weren't trying to scale things down a bit myself.

Mike... it is so. You got the history right on this VIP. Between unexpected household expenses and limited kiting time due to another new job, I find I am just not giving many of my fixed bridle kites the air time they deserve, so am scaling back.

So tempted...

Hmm...do I NEED the VIP considering I have a BIII 10.5?

KsKiteAddict - 2-8-2013 at 04:57 PM

Well, I would say of course you "need" it (to fully compliment the 10.5), but other people in your life might not agree with that outlook entirely. ;-)

The boss shot it down already....I may have to resort to claiming its for my 7 month old...wait....that won't work either.. damn..

KsKiteAddict - 2-8-2013 at 05:35 PM

Already? She didn't even want to sleep on the idea? Wow, that was fast. My two cents would be to keep the boss happy, enjoy your 7 month old while you can (they become young adults before you know it) and live to kite another day. And if your other half weakens her resolve in the mean time, let me know so we can work out the details of returning this VIP to its original owner.

I think this is the one that got away from me and then I couldn't get it out of mind and ended up buying a new one from Kent. Super kite someone better grab it up.

Sure is sweet looking,... But I just picked up an 8.6m Reactor II... Um, for my 2 yr old that is

I like the red interior of the foils, that looks pretty cool.

Blades scare me tho:o

BeamerBob - 4-8-2013 at 08:06 AM

Don't be afraid of the Blades. They deserve respect, but one of the nicest kites I've ever flown. Lift if you want it but its a stable fast flying, fast turning kite. Heavenly to fly in steady onshore winds and they look predatorial in flight.

KsKiteAddict - 4-8-2013 at 05:29 PM

@dirtslide: Yes, this is the same one that got away from you. Since you gave into temptation and bought another one, I'm sure you can vouch for what an great kite the 8.5m VIP is.

@beamerbob: I second all you said about Blades. I have owned several, always treated them with respect and they always performed great for me. Because I am land-locked in the Midwest, you are making me envious with this talk of "steady onshore winds". :)

@soliver: Do you have any other children besides your 2 year old? If so, maybe they need a Blade VIP? ;)

Adding a set of Flexifoil lines and handles to make this an even better deal (originally traded for this kite in "kite only" state). Ready-To-Fly, $550 shipped within continental US.
